How to dis-assemble the pen-type atomiser with the less damage caused to it?
Is it possible to re-assemble it afterwards?
If you happened to do it, please describe how.

I searched but did not find any info here in this respect. :(

1. Take out the little copper(steel on RN series I believe) rim on battery end with pliers or whatever you have at hand.
2. Grab on to the copper block that connects to battery and start twisting it from side to side pulling it out at the same time. Stop as soon as it is loose.
3. Take something small like the "spike" on dx/sku.9446 and insert from the cartridge side to the edge of the atomizer steel wool. (Flat headed screwdriver might work also but something that sharp will sink to the wool) Hit it gently while holding the atomizer and tool in your other hand until it pops out from the tube.

If you want to avoid damaging the rim, steps 1 and 2 could be also done by pulling out the connector with a battery(or what ever that screws into it) in which case the rim would be left in place. Problem is that battery might give up first... On 1'st step you could also use something like rubber to avoid scratcing the rim.
I'll be painting my dse801 atomizer again anyway so dont really care about the paint job. These atomizers should fit all pipes, cigars and pen styles albeit there might be some differences in atomizer coil resistances. Hope this answers your question.

Time wasted: 3 minutes
Damage taken: 2 points

Ever taken apart a volcano ecig? I'm about to buy my first ever and decided to go with Volcano, but I was wanting to detach the LED light at the end to go more steath... any thoughts?

its not the most professional way, but maybe you could brush a couple coats of black paint over the tip....
