Hey guys I'm still learning about batteries, the ohm's law, and such. I was wondering how or where to find out the max battery current. I own a meter but it's one of those specifically made for 510 attys from madvapes. So i was wondering if there is a site that has a list of batteries and their max current for both continuous and burst.

The C rating of the battery determines the maximum draw (in amps) that the battery is capable of. To calculate the max amp draw you need the C rating and the mAh of the battery. For example, a 2000 mAh battery rated at 10 C would be:

Max amp draw = (mAh/1000)*C rating

(2000/1000)*10 = 20 max amp draw

(resource: PBusardo Taste Your Juice - Batteries)

Where to find the C rating of a particular battery? Good question. Some battery vendor sites offer this information in their product description for the battery, and may list the maximum continuous discharge rate, too, which I suspect is the specification you are really looking for.

Do batteries with higher mah have lower c ratings to match the same amp draw to the ones with lower mah? Or is it that most higher mah batteries have the similar c rating giving more amp draw?

Edit: So, smaller batteries tend to have Less amp draw than bigger ones since the mah is usually less on the smaller batteries?
