how to fix scratches?

Hi guys

So I have a gus telescopic that has some minor scratches. is there a way to fix this? like re-polish it or something? Also I have seen people make the mod into brass colored. Does anyone know how to do this?

I use a dremel and polishing wheel with some polishing paste. (You can get a dremel polishing kit for under $15 at WallyWorld).

The gus is stainless steel so I'd imagine the only way to get it brass would be to plate it.

I'm sorry kind of new to all this and have never done it before.

How do you do it? put some paste on and just rub it all over?

I use Mothers mag and aluminum polish. Just put some on the mod then rub it on a terry cloth. Sometimes I wet sand with 2000grit sand paper if the scratch is deep.
