How to get a nasty ejuice flavor out of my Boge cartomizer

I get a 'freebie' juice from the same place I bought my Boge 2.0's. It was NASTY! Is there anyway to clean it out and save it? I tried vaping it until it was almost dry, then I kept topping it off with my favorite ejuice, and the 5 minute boiling method.
Still the taste remains. It tastes like maple syrup.
Can I get that out, or is it a goner?

If its not totally spent I would try plunging isopryl acohol though it with a syringe or turkey baster, letting it dry and use it again. If its clove flavoring though forget it----I think thats forever.....lol

If you search on you tube for cleaning boge cartomizers you will find an excellent videos by pbsurado on how he cleans his. Id provide you a link but I'm on my phone. And I'm kinda lazy at 1 am.

It basically boils down to him boiling them for fifteen minutes then putting then in new water and boiling them some more. I havent tried it yet. But I trust his videos.

All boiling did for me was take forever to dry and make my stuffing over puffy and loose. No good for me never got any good vapor after boiling but I know others say they have and they even put them in the oven to dry.

I havent actually got to try it yet...I'm still waiting on my first order of boge s to get here...I hope it works.

That being said I personally feel they are cheap enough to toss if I can get about a week on them. I was a pack a day smoker at 6-7 bucks a pack.

1 - don't use cartomizers to test juice because the results of cleaning are inconsistent, Use a sealed manual battery, an atomizer and a drip tip

2- try the smoktek carto and atty cleaning kit
Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions
But drying can be harder than cleaning. Some need to bake washed cartos in a very slow over (about 175 degrees) for hours

What dormouse said... But also, cartos are only like $2 a piece and you're going to waste more than $2 worth of good juice checking to see if the old flavor is gone, if you ever fully get it to go away at all.

I've had good luck so far with the syringe cleaning method. I just use a standard lure lock syringe and a carto condom with the tip cut off, but the one Dormouse linked would work great. I use the taryn spin to make sure most of the juice is out of the carto then draw hot water through it several times with the syringe and use the taryn spin again to get most of the water out. I take it one step farther and draw some vodka (was to cheap to go out and buy PGA just for cleaning) through it before using the taryn spin again to get most of the vodka out and let them sit for a day to completely dry out. So far I've gone a month on the same 2 boxes of Boge cartos and only had one that wouldn't work after cleaning. 90% survival rate sounds good to me, but over such a short testing time frame it doesn't count for much and YMMV. I have read in numerous posts that cinnamon, clove and menthol will stick with a carto no matter how you clean it, but I have no experience with those flavors.

This is a very HEAVY taste (like clove- but very horrible) and I think I might have to toss it. I'll try all of your recommended methods first, though.
I am very cheap (and annoyed) the liquid was supposed to be my regular brand, and they screwed up my order, otherwise I would have just dripped it first.

You could get some clearomizers with the coil on top just below the Driptip and ur ready to drip in a clearomizer, pretty cheap an good results for testing juices

Yup...got 3 ce2s myself just for that purpose.

...at around a buck 35, just toss it and get a new one out...as cheap as they are, don't waste your time...get an atty and drip tip to try out new flavs...only takes a few drops and can be fairly readily cleaned........

I think I fixed it. I went on line and saw a bunch of videos on how to clean cartos, and decided to try the boiling method since they're silver. I boiled it for 5 minutes, smelled it, put it back for 5 more, still smelled it, and stopped at 15. Then, I took a syringe, filled it with the boiling water (it was no longer at the boiling temp) and rinsed it out through the atty end about 20 times. I could still smell it, so I ran it under scalding hot water continuously for 10 minutes, holding it under using pliers. That did it.
Then, I placed it in my small oven to the setting it has for dehydrating for 1 hour, and went to bed. This morning when I got up, it was completely dry.
I have it in my box, and next time I need a fresh Boge, I'll use that and see if it really worked.
I'm not really that cheap, I am more of a see-if-it-can-be-done person.
However, I did learn my lesson, and will drip new flavors from now on!

Yeah this happened to me too! Its still wet and I boiled it last week! Lol I dried them properly but got no love from them. Oh and cola taste stayed in my atomizer too. Weird =/

Ha Ha! I just tried it - it took two 3/4 filled condoms, and it is like BRAND NEW.
So, everybody- if you're as stubborn like me, give this a try. It's vaping away like a champ..
