Hhhmmm... If "practice makes perfect" doesn't do you, I'm not sure I can help. FWIW, I don't even notice. I vape when it pleases me-- I am *not* smoking-- and if anybody says anything I explain it. This usually results in a more-or-less interesting conversation about e-cigs and how they helped me quit smoking. Occasionally I'll run into one of the ANTZ who are all soggy and hard to light about it. I tend to be polite about it, except when I am in a commercial establishment, in which case I take my self and my money elsewhere.

Guys, Bruce Dickinson is like everybody else, he puts his pants on one leg at a time, the only difference is, once my pants are on....I MAKE GOLD RECORDS!

I agree with @suprtrkr vape away and if questioned about it have confidence in your reply that it helped you quit smoking and that its an enjoyable alternative!

Idk what it is but i get paranoid about vaping while in public like waiting for the train at the train station. I keep thinking people think its a {Other Stuff} or something.
So how do i get over that fear?

If you're afraid you're going to cause the sudden appearance of "NO VAPING" signs plastered all over the train station,

...........maybe it's a healthy fear......

Be confident.
I act extremely offended when someone implies that my vape has "other stuff" in it.
I act like they have just insulted the very fibre of my being.
( in reality, I'm only offended by the arrogance of the person, not the other stuff).
It usually shuts them down and gets me an apology.

Oh ya....I still think it needs a little more cowbell.

IMO, most people will just ignore you unless you're acting obnoxious. You don't have to answer to anyone who would come to you and ask why you're doing that in public and insinuate you're doing something illegal, you can just say it's your nicotine vaporizer and show them the bottle of e-juice if you want. If you act confident, you'll usually be left alone.

The only experiences I've had with vapeing in public have been positive ones. Maybe I've just been lucky? People have asked politely what it was exactly. And even complimented the smell! They seemed eager to know what it was. It's my hope, after my explanation they will be curious enough about vapeing to put down the cancer sticks and give it a go. kinda of a tiny way of fighting off the ANTZ propaganda! Vape where it's allowed, teach others

Just be polite about vaping, go downwind.
If anyone says "There is no smoking here" I say, "Thanks, if I see anyone smoking, I'll tell them."
If smoking is allowed, you are doing nothing wrong!
Even when smoking is allowed, people will overreact, one lady started coughing when I vaped near her. It was so funny, she thought I was smoking cigs. :vapor:

well i caught the train today and i found myself stealth vaping at the train station. I don't know what it is i just feel paranoid about doing it in public
Here in the UK, smoking is banned at the train stations, inside and out, is it the same where you are, if so, could this be another factor ?
