How To Get Rid of Air Bubbles

Is there a better way of getting rid of an air bubble inside a syringe than turning it upright and ejecting the bubble? I am wasting a lot of liquid that way.

Pull the plunger downward first to pull the liquid back into the syringe. then push it upward you should lose less than a drop.
