So I recently picked up a buzz pro with plans of replacing cigs with it. In general I enjoy it...I just can't get it dialed in enough to enjoy it enough to not want a cig. Sub-par vapor thickness, dry/harsh hits, little flavor. I'd very much like to over-come these problems as I think most of them are due to me being new and not knowing how to best use this thing. I'm using some low resistance boge cartos with a 1'' tank from notcigs.com. Got 3 different flavors of juice from backwoods brew. I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong here. If I draw nice and slow, I get more vapor but it always burns my throat. As a 8 year cigg smoker, this isn't easy to do. Any tips tricks to get the best vaping experience possible as far as thickness, taste and smoothness goes?

Thanks in advance for any comments/help/suggestions!

For the burning the throat part: Ideally the method is to vape like you would smoke a cigar. Just inhale into your mouth and let it out. Nicotine is most effectively absorbed through your mouth and nose. However, most vapers feel that this doesn't truly simulate smoking and choose to draw, hold in their mouth, and then inhale once the smoke has cooled enough. It also could be because you are using a low, resistance carto which results in warmer vapor which could burn your throat.

Another factor would be your nicotine level. Nicotine is what contributes to the throat-hit, and has the pricklish quality in a juice. If you were to vape zero nic juice, you could inhale all day and you probably wouldn't feel a thing, just flavored air. That being said, if the throat his is to much, trying lowering your nicotine level, and that will reduce the edge of the "bite".

Also it could be because your throat is getting dry, because vaping dehydrates your throat. Try and drink plently of water.

If you want more vapour, drawing into your mouth will help, I find when I inhale and hold it in my lungs, the vapour comes out clearer. Just play around with this. Also juice with a higher VG content will produce more of a cloud then PG

Vaping is different in someways then regular smoking so you'll have to play around a bit with it....

...part of it may just be your "newness"...a juice with a higher VG ratio will produce more vapor and less throat irritation...I would also get some higher resistance carto and skip the tanks for a bit...some 3ohm Boges for example or some 2ohm dual coil cartos and take advantage of the VV the Buzz provides.........

p.s. it will help to keep a glass of water handy and sip while vaping...vaping can be very drying to the soft tissues........mj

A good percentage of people have throat irritation when they start, for most it goes away. It took me about 6 weeks to get over that. Use all of the above advice if it gets unbearable. Try different things until you find what works for you. (Cartos, tanks, attys, dripping) Just remember not everyone can't go straight to vaping and kick the analogs right away. Every time you vape and resist an analog is one less nail in your coffin. All that said this is what I use: 36mg Frisco (from vapor station) in a Big Daddy Tank with a 2.5 Oohm smoktek dual coil carto on a Provari @ 4.5 volts.

Keep up The Good Fight,
