I have a Lava tube (up to 6v and big batteries to run it) 510 series mod and a tank system on it right now. They sold me either higher or lower resistance cartomizers to take advantage of the higher voltage when I stepped up from their pass though. Can somebody school me on the relationship between the vapor output, voltage and resistance level of the coils?

Also, can some kind soul enlighten me as to the relative merits of a cartomizer and Dripping and other more esoteric techniques for getting juice onto a coil? I'm running no nicotine right now (hopefully I'll stay that way) and I want the most vapor I can get to compensate for it.

Lastly, can someone point me towards a seriously powerful mod that I can carry in my pocket without damaging it, and that doesn't look like a sex toy? I saw one in a box configuration, but they were just starting up and had sold all their pre-orders.

And if there's a good (meaning lots of brands and lots of stuff in stock) brick and mortar smoke shop anywhere within 50 miles of Tampa I'd love to know about it so I can go look at stuff before buying it.

I know. I don't want much. :D

You're faced with the learning curve of how these things work and how they suit your needs.

Battery supplies current, power and voltage. Different PVs (personal vaporizers) do it differently. With a VV mod, you can tweak the heat of the vapor as long as your coil can handle the watts produced. Watts are heat. Volts and resistance determine the heat. Lower your resistance, or ohms, and the heat goes up at a fixed voltage. Raise the voltage and the heat goes up at a fixed resistance. Heat can damage or enhance flavors of e-liquids.

There is a plethora of delivery devices. There are consumables and rebuildables. There are cartomizers, atomizers, tanks, etc. What works for one may not work for others to acheive satisfaction.

The answer to what produced the most vapor would be the e-liquid base liquids. Higher VG (vegetable glycerine) content will produce thicker vapor. Higher PG (propylene glycol) will increase TH (throat hit).

As for box mods, one of the most relied upon brands is REO. It is a bottomfeeder. There is a juice bottle inside and you deliver liquid to the atomizer/cartomizer as neccessary. There are other boxmods that you can attach other delivery systems to, as well.

Welcome to ECF. Your journey is just beginning. It can be a fun experience to build a new hobby of finding the best PV for yourself. A lot of members have more than one PV for different occaisions. Learn as you go and it will all fall into place in time. You seem to have a decent set-up, now. PVs are kinda like cars in that there's always one more stylish, faster, more powerful, a different color, different engine, different tires... you see where I'm going.

All PVs do the same thing. Some are monster trucks, some are Ferraris. Some are Honda Civics. Depends on what you want it to do, look like, and functions.
