If you get a burning taste, you've gone too far. It's really something you have to get a feel for after a few refills. I suggest topping off every so often, because you don't want to start burning out the carto. You'll get significantly more life out of it if you top off before you have to.

Thanks. Maybe I need to be more precise. I have the starter kits that is not refillable.

Actually, you can refill those cartos. The prefilled cartos are the same cartos as the blanks. I'm not sure if they come with a hard cap or soft, since I've only bought the blanks.

You definitely get less vapor when they're petering out. Once you get a burning taste, it's definitely done.

How do I know when the car is running out? Does it just stop vaping? Do you get a dry smoke?

Hi Sir - Welcome....Besides the yummy burnt taste that's already been mentioned, another indication (at least to me) is when it becomes harder to draw. Anyways, enjoy & vape on!

It is a learning curve, but here are a few hints to look for.

1). Vapor production goes way down
2). Very airy draw, more than normal.
3). The taste goes away.

If #1 or #2 happen, make sure that your battery isn't low or dead. The last few vapes on a battery will give the same symptoms.

If you get a burnt taste, you've gone too far and mot likely the carto is junk. If the carto gets a very tight draw, it may be gunked up, but make sure your battery air holes are clean first.

Luckily, smokeless image cartos don't burn nearly as easily as others. If you do burn them a little, you can usually still use them because it won't burn bad. For an explanation why, watch my video on SI cartos. It may also help you understand what you are looking for.
