I need your help/suggestions. I am running an ALI'i that uses two 16340 batteries. I run these batteries in sets of 3 and like to keep them paired to assure even charging and discharging across a team of batteries.
Here is where I need help. I thought this would be easy; I marked the battery pairs with Sharpie permanent marker such as A1-A2, B1-B2, and C1-C2. To my surprise the Sharpie markings are gone within two recharges of the batteries. They simply rub off when handling the batteries between charger and PV.

What do you use to mark your batteries and is the marking permanent?

A Brother P-Touch Label Maker. I label the pairs I use A1, A2, B1, B2, etc.

I label all kinds of PV gear (cartos, bottles, baggies, chargers, etc.) with my P-Touch.

The ptouch is probably the second on the list for "must have" vaping related accessories, with a DMM being the first "must have" accessory

I use a sharpie. I date them from when I first charge them & I also label the positive & negative ends. I haven't had a problem with the sharpie wearing off.

Do you think maybe juice is getting on your batteries?
bnwjen - maybe juice on my fingers from bottle reload, but never had any leaks at all in the ALI'i

OK I was wondering what a PTouch was, so I looked it up under Amazon and Ebay. Never knew these existed for home use. In any event while it seems the Brother low rent model is priced OK the labeling cartridges would break the bank. Have to find another way/alternative.

I got my P-Touch for about $14-$19 at Frys. It was refurbished and is the PT-80 model. I used up the labels that came with it and purchased 1 extra label cartridge for about $11.00.

I have completely labeled all of my office file folders and have been using it on my cartomizers, and the label cartridge is still going strong.

I just consider the labels as part of the home office budget. It takes a very long time to run through a tape cartridge just labeling vaping stuff...
