I'm currently using an eGo with an atty and cart. I've been vaping since Saturday and off analogs since Sunday, and so far all four juices I've tried have seemed very weak, as in just a hint of flavor that I would not be able to identify without looking at the bottle. I've ordered juices from different vendors and a couple different cartos (both SR and LR), and I'm hoping my taste buds will rebound at least somewhat by the time they arrive.

Is there anything else I can try to intensify flavor? I'm willing to try different equipment, vaping techniques, etc. My mom wants to try vaping out as well, and I know for her flavor will be key so I want to get this down and just be able to hand her a kit and some juice to make the transition as easy as possible (she's been smoking almost 50 years now).

Thanks in advance for all your advice and opinions!

With the set-up you have direct dripping will probably give you the most flavor. Drip 2-3 drop directly into the atomizer place an empty (no poly-fill) cart on the atty, take a few drags, repeat.

Your taste buds may also be fried from smoking. The taste should return in due time. In the meanwhile drinking plenty of water should help.

What juice are you currently using, and what nic level? It's possible that you need to clean your atty from buildup. Another idea is that it's just junk juice. There are so many companies, and not all of them are good. It also may depend on the flavor you enjoy. My favorite is vanilla and menthol.

Lastly, I use a cartomizer with the above flavors and it works great.

I'm using juices from liberty flights atm, just because that's where I got my kit and I wanted to have everything I needed right away. I randomly chose 4 5ml bottles, 2 pg and 2 vg, all at 24mg. The one Decadent Vapours I picked is a bit stronger, but still not as in your face as I was hoping. I'm waiting on orders from Vixen Vapors and Ms T's...hoping they'll be stronger!

I get the best flavor using a 306 atty on my ego battery. Drop a couple drips on there and yumm. Also like resurrectors with the ego battery. There are several juice places also that you can request extra flavoring: Vape-A-Licious (really good!), FSUSA, NHaler, Virgin Vapors (good stuff), Alien Visions ejuice (my fave and you have to request extra flavor when you order, there isnt really a spot on it in the ordering part, but some of my faves are here -- like massive chocolate mint, gorilla juice). Personally for an ego batt, i think LR is the way to go, hotter, better flavor, so i think you may really like the LR cartos you got. I would get a couple of 306 atties just for tasting and dripping tho.

I like "screaming in your face" flavor too. I've gone though quite a few meh flavors finding good ones.

If you like wintergreen, this has a nice kick. It's my main all day vape:

Wintergreen E-Liquid - Penny 's Store

I doctor it up with a bit of menthol and cool concentrates, but it is quite good on it's own.

Higher PG juices will help with the flavor. VG dulls the flavor of juices some, so stick with around 80/20, 90/10.
Like others said dripping might give you some better flavor, and like dotma said, look for vendors that have an extra flavor option. I really like BlueMist Vapor. They have sample packs so you can try a bunch, and their prices are really good. $5 for 10ml, $10 for 30ml. They have a huge selection of juices, 250+ and offer extra flavor shots for .50cents more

1 - I think cooler atomizers and cartos give more flavor and hotter (lower ohms) ones give more heat and hit.

2 - get juices that are high in PG - PG lets flavor through better

3 - order with extra flavoring, try other vendors, try DIY

4 - less nicotine - nicotine has a peppery irritating flavor and the flavor usually comes through better with less nic

5 - SMELL the vapor. Your tongue can only taste sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami (msg). So if your juice doesn't have any of those flavors then there is nothing to taste but the base liquid. Vapor has no visual or texture clues so you have to smell it. And unlike cigs which dump smoke all over you, you have to remember to smell the vapor.

6 - Vape contrasting flavors, use cartomizers to keep your flavors separate and not mixed in an atomizer. For tank attys, try adjusting the wick. Keep atomizers clean or use cartomizers.

Some things that mask flavor/aroma are wind or fan blow vapor away from your nose, stuffed nose, hot drinks, alcohol, food or other tastes or aromas, vaping the same flavor over and over, getting your tongue irritated by vaping nic in 100% PG

Shopping around to find your vendors that make juice you like is key. I might like one vendor, you may not. Once you find a great juice or five(i'm not picky, I have quite a few favorites) it will be tasty in a cartomizer as well. Steeping as someone else I saw mentioned may be the case as well. A juice may taste kinda week out of the mail and be super strong in a couple of weeks.

I also use 80PG/20VG or 60PG/30VG. High VG can cut down on the flavor.

With a 1.25 DC you are vaping two cooler coils at 2.5 ohms each - the low/hot end of standard resistance - and I do think standard resistance tends to give more flavor. As well you are using juice and charge twice as fast and getting double vapor. I think my 306 atty is 2.5 ohms but I need to start a new one. No matter what I do, attys degrade (which is why I mostly use cartomizers).

NOTE for any other readers - DC's are not for slim ecigs

Dormouse, Maybe I need to try a different standard resistance carto then, the 3.0 ones I tried from Hooisier don't give much vapor or flavor. I didn't know I will blow through juice twice as fast! What's a good standard resistance carto?

The 3.0 don't do much for me either. The boge 2.0 are good. Even better to me are the 1.7 from CCV.

Ikenvape has excellent cartomizers too.
