How to prepare for the next Woodvil sale night...

While i am only a relative newbie to Woodvil sale nights, having only participated in the one last February, I thought it would be worthwhile to start a thread of tips, tricks and hints from all of the veterans of past Woodvil sale nights in order to help the new members of Reoville...


As all of the Woodvil sale night veterans know, I am ALL about helping the newcomers to Reoville secure their favorite Woodvils. (cough)

Trust me on that...




So.... Woodvil sale night veterans, what are your best tips for all of our Reoville newcomers? Y'all know you have them. Let's share, for the general good...

Lemme start it off:

1) Turn off your firewall. It just slows you down. Trust me... (cough)
2) The worst thing you can do is log into Reosmods.com before the time the sale is announced. You should reboot your computer the instant the sale begins. That will clean your cookies and... stuff...
3) Your paypal account will most likely be hacked the moment the sale begins. Spend the extra time to change your password before you attempt to buy anything, but do it after the sale begins. Safety is paramount...
4) Most important: before you click that final "buy" button, call the reo phone number to confirm that you'll be getting what you think you are. Take all the time you need to click that stupid paypal "buy now" button...


methinks that should get the Woodvil sale night newbies off to a good start... any of you other vets got anything good to add?

I've heard that taking a long restful nap hours before the sale starts is a good idea...

I agree mama it is paramount that we get everyone started on the right foot. I was successful on the last sale because I held back a few minutes. When the site comes back up I waited for 10 minutes because i knew the server would be jammed. While everyone was stuck at the gates I snuck in the back door with the secret password from Filthy Beast...It was like Christmas for the next 15 minutes until the server reset and allowed everyone into the site.

Best advice I have is to make real good friends with Filthy and Mama.....sorry gentlemen but you should share the passwords with everyone that sends you a pm in the next 24 hours. I promised I would't give it out and I am a man of my word so only you and can decide.....

I fear I may be opening Pandoras Box....awe hell I can't help myself.

I do want to add that because of the confusion it is sound advice from Mama to place the items in your cart and then call to verify if it is still available. Remember to add all you might want on the first trip because the server gets slow and you might not get a second chance. .....

Why would anyone be waiting on the next Woodville sale? I have heard definite mostly verified highly semicontroverted rumors that the P3 is coming out in wood. Now y'all go park yourselves over there and wait for that thing. The rumor of it's release is already two years old so odds dictate it must be happening any year day now. Once you obtain a P3 in wood you can decide if you still need a Woodville.

And it's important to add items to your cart in order of price - from lowest to highest - otherwise the transaction won't complete. I blame PayPal.

Have you forgotten that the password only allows 5 people in. so only two spots available. Anybody got a Chalice by chance?

Also important to grab all your chosen mods into the cart before checking out or you'll certainly loose your 2nd and 3rd choice.
