I think cool and dark for nic? And that won't hurt PG/VG either. And keep it away from kids. Maybe a file-folder sizes metal lock box and keep it in the basement? I should do that myself.

As for flavorings and small supplies - Plano 3630 boxes 7x11x2.75 deep (or 3730 I think if you want the 11x13 ones). These deep Plano boxes are deep enough for flavoring and up to 10ml juice bottle. The other Planos are shallower.

My first one! (I have 8 packed full now)

Fridge+family reunion+curious guest/child=vaping banned+police investigation at your house...

Depends which direction the curiosity leads them I suppose - and what they find first. Around here, they could end up on a massive sugar high, passed out drunk, or vaped if they got in the fridge.

Nicotine is a lot more sensitive to oxidation than anything else, and even that doesn't happen very fast. All in all it is pretty stable. Same thing for most flavorings.

I store everything at room temperature in a closet. My kids are old enough, that I don't worry about them. My main concern is to keep it away from visiting kids to avoid preventable accidents (i.e. my bedroom is a no-kid zone and I use a high shelf). Refrigerator, next to the orange juice is a NO NO.

BTW - I'm a Big believer in storing DIY supplies in Glass Bottles. Some plastics leach chemicals over time.

Maybe a much larger safe would be a better idea. I'm sure there are many cleaning products, lawn and garden products, and probably even automotive type products that need to be kept well secured too. Oh and don't overlook the laundry. The medicine cabinet is a given.

My point is, there are plenty of things around that can be harmful to unsupervised kids. None of them seem to get locked in safes.

When I raised my kids I kept many things locked up.

Prescription Drugs. Hand Guns. Legal Documents. Etc.

I didn't locking up Drain-O or Bleach but then again I did keep them low in the kitchen either. And Chemicals such as Paint Thinners or Acetone were kept high in the garage to.

My kids were good about not getting into things. But my sisters kids were terrible. They would build towers to get into things like Medicine Cabinets or the Liquor Cabinet above the frig. Had to watch them 24-7. But then again, my sister didn't believe in scolding children.

I'd never tell someone how to live their life or raise their children. If you don't have any kids in your house or if you think it is ok for things to be left out with kids around, who am I to say what's right for you.

I guess in the end it all comes down to parenting technique every time.

Of course when I was a kid, and when my kids were kids, things were different.

I agree...

There is no substitution for good parenting. Trouble is my house was surrounded with other kids which came over all the time. And then there were my Sister’s little monsters.

There are just some things I as a parent would just Not Leave Unlock. Prescription Drugs, Firearms and e-Liquids would be on that list.
