How to search the forum

How do you do a key word search versus a phrase search? Please help! I can't ever find what I'm looking for!!

Hi Devah, to do a search, I always use the Search Thread or Search Forum option at the top of the 1st post in a thread. Just type the word you want, and go. Or you can use the advanced search (after clicking on Search Thread/Forum), and fill in more details to narrow down your search.

Yea, but isn't there a certain way to search one word then a different way to search a whole phrase with an "*" before and after the word or something? I know there's some crazy rules or something to be able to do a specific search but I can't find the rules forum on this. Any ideas?

I know of nothing using the "*"

I search the same way sonic mentioned above.

Do you mean search with a "Wildcard"?

the * works fine on a windows machine when you know the extension of the file , it is not supposed to work in here
