If you lube the inner connector a little (spit, e-
juice, 30 weight) it might slip out easier. If you attach a dead atty to add a little mass, the inner connector won't heat up as much. Don't try and solder the connector shell to a steel washer with the gasket in place, just too much heat required, but soldering the inner connector with gasket in place isn't much different than soldering same discrete components on a circuit board, too much total heat (temperatureXtime) and you have dead parts. Total heat input, it has to go somewhere.
