How to tell the difference between a burned coil/burned wick or just really good throat hit?

Been vaping on my new Vivi coils, alternating between 1.8 and 2.8...and while using the 1.8 currently, I have the voltage of my Twist at 4.0..

sometimes when I am taking a drag for around 4-5 seconds, there is a sharp hot in my throat that resembles the hit you get when it's a dry coil or something...yet, there isn't a bad smell/taste. But sometimes on a higher voltage, I might not get any TH at all.

the I always tilt and vape, so I know the wicks are getting saturated...just can't tell if this is normal, or if I'm getting a dry hit.

i feel like I should already know this, but its a tad baffling.

EDIT: I'm vaping 18mg Kona Cream from vaperite, and I added a few drops of 100 proof espresso vodka to the bottle when I got it.

For some reason...2.4 ohm heads always suck. They're like the unwanted child of the family...

1.8 has done me wonders, as has 2.8... But 2.4 always seem to vape weird, flavorless and go dull quicker than the others

Is this a popular opinion, and does this hold true for stardust redux 2.4 heads too? I've noticed something is just not quite 100% about these when I compare them to the 1.8(?) ohm clearos that came with my set up.

I love my 2.4 Vivi on my VAMO. Good flavor/vapor etc. Haven't had any issues.
