How to tell when an atty is dead

Just tried highping's method as I figured that I didn't have anything to loose. The thing works great now. So how is it different when it is toss-able and fully dead?

Don't toss anything. You never know when you'll get bit by the mod bug and need a part off of something. Also there are people that use the dead ones for testing and repair. If it doesn't heat up just toss it in a box and when you're desperate you have an emergency stash.

There is a section for maitenance and cleaning that should cover it. If you take an ohm meter and touch the Neg/Pos wires to the related posts and there is no continuity then they are at the final vaping ground ready for burial.
I clean my atties once every 2 weeks, I use the Pro Health Mouthwash by Crest. I soak about 30 minutes rinse with hot water , blow out the water then i bake them at 170 degrees for about 20 minutes or so or I let them air dry for 2 or 3 days.
I was told less is more when it comes to atties. I vape VG so i find about 2 weeks is good for me now my hubby is a PG vaper and I cant remember the last time i cleaned his atties.

PG is thinner...hence it does not gunk as much as VG. But now that you have proved yourself how to clean the atty it is a matter of not flooding it and let it sit flooded overnight. You can expect that a cleaned atty with Highping's method will perform just like a new one.
Note: i use mostly VG and only do a Strong cleaning every 9 to 15 days. But really it is less than that, because i rotate 3 attys and will not use any of them more than 2 days in a row. And been on the same 3 attys for more than 2 months (can't really tell when they are going to fail coz they perform better than new).
