How will I know which is right for me?

I currently have a Diamondmist E-cig Diamond Mist Double E-Cigarette Kit: Amazon.co.uk: Health & Personal Care It was only £13 and does the job. I am currently about 22 hours cigarette free. Yay!

Anyway, I was wondering about whether I should invest in something a little better than this one. This one is fine but as it was only cheap, I'm guessing it's probably a long way off the best out there. It gives me enough vapour but this is pretty much the first one I've tried so I don't really have much to judge it by.

What kind of differences do you find with different types of e-cigarettes? I did find initially that this e-cig was making me cough (I was using 18mg of Virginia Mist liquid) but I read on here somewhere that the liquids are best left a while to settle. When I was vaping yesterday, it didn't make me cough any more and I actually did quite enjoy it. It 100% helped with cigarette cravings, but then I havent' really had any so far which is excellent for me! Normally by now, I'd be thinking about sneaking out and buying "just one more box of fags" then I can give up again but not this time!

Welcome You'll get better flavor and more vapor with a better setup for sure, you'll have to make the decision if it's worth the money and time.

Personally, I just stuck with what I started with, but upgraded my battery to one that'd last a full day.

If what you have now is keeping you from smoking and you're happy...

That's close to what I started with. Mine was the Kanger EVOD kit. It was great for me for the first three months or so. Like @r77r7r said, I bought a couple of bigger batteries as well as one that I could change the voltage on. It sounds like you're on the right track!

The differences can be quite extreme, from simple electronic cigarette look-a-likes (cig-a-likes) to highly customized devices. Vaping is a game of trade offs. A smaller device may be easier to use on a day to day basis but it's battery life will be short, and vice versa.

Nonetheless, I used a similar setup when I first started vaping and it worked fantastically.

Nice kit you've got there. But I'm kinda prejudiced. I've tried the other "better", newer more powerful stuff and really wasn't all that impressed. I actually started with a somewhat more powerful device and had a pen similar to yours as a backup. With time I came to prefer the Evod backup device to my "better" device.

This is all so subjective though. If the shinyitis is nibbling at you, then you're probably not going to be satisfied until you give in to it.;)
Just keep in mind that every step up is going to cost you £. New device=more £. More vapor=more juice=more £. Better (?) Device *usually* = more costly replacement coils.

I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke don't fix it"
Only you can decide what your real motivation is here. You say what you have is working. I say give it some time. Maybe a couple of months. Then see if you feel like a change is really necessary.

Thanks, I decided to get another one that was recommended to me on here - the Innokin Endura T18. I got it for less than £20 and this way I have a spare e-cig that I can just keep in my bag at all times in case I forget to bring it with me. Still smoke free and I'm so amazed that I haven't been craving. We'll see how the next few days go. I generally get to day 4 of not smoking and revert back!

Hi Susan! You CAN DO EEEET!!! ALWAYS good to have backups! Cigs are WAY too readily available and easy to use, to not have something ready in case your kit malfunctions at a bad time/place. VAPE HARD!!! Fill yaself up with nicotine, and you WILL get past that day 4 problem!

Also, I coughed PLENTY when I first quit. Takes the body awhile to adjust to breathing in so much moisture. Also, the cilia in your respiratory system is growing back/getting healthy again, and there is MUCH nastiness for it to locomote back up. Some recent quitters spend a few weeks at least, uh.. bringing up the past. :)

Hi and welcome. If what you have is working, you don't need anything else. That said, you'll almost certainly get better results with better gear. Let me suggest you try something with more versatility, so you can adjust it and try different modes of vaping to see where you want to be. The Kanger Subox kit is an excellent choice for this purpose for beginners, and is good enough to serve as a useful backup if you later move on. This is a removeable battery machine, which I happen to like best. For a fixed battery rig, try the Innokin Cool Fire 4 paired with the same tank as in the Subox kit, the Kanger Subtank.
