Hello peeps. I am now on my 7th day with out a analog. Started out a week ago with a cheap analog sized ecig from wally world check out and picked up my ego Friday. Thanks for all the information you guys have made available to us new to the vapor scene. Anyone have any advice on how to win my family members that are smokers over to ecigs let me know. Two of my brothers are on board one using a ego I bought him the other a lea cross but both my parents and my youngest brother are still pack and a half a day smokers.

Thanks hairball, I hate to admit it but prior to the impulse buy on the ecig , I was very doubtful of having any success with them to the point i even picked on my brother and a few friends when they made the switch. Now thank goodness Im eating my words. I have already given the wally world ecig and the remaining carts to my mom to try shes using it in between analogs and not completely switching to it like I hoped for. I guess even if shes replacing a few a day with it then its a start.

Welcome to the ECF jeremysoft. Congrats on your decision! Winning any smoker over to vaping can be a very big challange. The worst thing you can do is to shove it down their throat. Let them see the success that you and your brothers have had with it. They may show some mild interest at first. They may think it's a "fad" and that you'll soon be back smoking. It can take some time for them to believe that vaping is in fact a much healthier way to satify the nicotine habit.

They have to want to quit really. Many people are just fine with smoking analogs (unfortunately). I mention it to gauge other's interest. If they are interested I explain a little more. If they start asking you questions about it like "is it the same as a regular cig" etc...they will switch 90% of the time.

Also, if you get them a unit you think they'll like and they try it, they are likely to switch as well.

Switching often depends more on a person's desire to switch than anything else.
