Howdy from Conroe TX...that just north of Houston!

So I've been vaping now for almost 2 weeks and I've only had about 6 cigarettes since I started and I feel so much better! I tried vaping in the past and it never worked but yay I finally got hooked lol! My husband and I spent about $400-500 a month on cigarettes and now it's down to $60 a month...kick .... for more money in the pocket!!! So I've heard myths about vaping and I hope someone can clear it up for me!

So I've heard that vaping for long periods of time or inhaling too hard can cause bronchitis and/or pneumonia...how much of this is true? I know there are more that I've heard but this is the most recent and the only one I actually remember at the moment!

We got the basic starter kit with the Evod and we are really liking it but I've been looking at upgrading eventually and it's all very confusing and they're is so much out there. We aren't really sure where to start as far as upgrading, any suggestions as to what would work the best? We like the fact that when we exhale we see the vapor and want to stick with something similar!!!

Welcome. You've got a good starter there and I'm glad you're smoke free!

No truth to bronchitis and/or pneumonia. In fact there are threads here where lots of peeps say that they haven't been sick at all this winter. Not even a cold. Go to the Advanced Search (on the upper right of the screen) and type in sick, colds, flu or whatever and you'll see. I smoked for 40+ years and I've never felt better.
Please, please read through some of the threads on this site. There is so much info to learn before you start upgrading, etc. and everyone is very helpful when you have questions. Happy vaping!!

Howdy! Im in cypress, congrats!!! I need to head your way one of these days to check out posh vapors in the woodlands!

There's also one here in Conroe called Vaporizit...the owners are customers of mine and now I'm a customer of theirs!!! They mix all their juice in house and are some great all around people! Haven't heard of the one in the Woodlands...where is it?

Welcome, Lojala. Congrats on becoming a vaper. I personally don't believe vaping causes pneumonia. BUT, I am not a Dr, so what do I know? I do know that after 27 months of vaping my lung capacity is back to normal and I vape all day.

If you ask 10 people what to buy to upgrade, chances are you may get 10 different answers. I still like the Ego batteries that I use everyday. I have a Zmax ordered from Fast Tech. There is such a wide choice of PVs and liquids available and only you can decide what you like. Let me echo that advice to research here at ECF and check out the list of approved vendors and see what they have to offer. Best of luck and keep on vaping. :)

Howdy from Spring! You are in a great place! We have Spring Vapor and Vapor Trading Co on Rayford. Two pretty good shops. There are a few others that are pretty close too, just don't know the names. Welcome fellow Texan!

Welcome, Lojala.

Everyone in this thread is right - ECF is a phenomenal source of information on vaping, and almost every member is very kind and helpful, especially to new members. This is my favorite "branch" of ECF so far. I occasionally visit the Halo suppliers forum and the General E-Smoking Discussion, but at least 95% of my time and posts are spent here in the New Members Forum. I just love reading the stories of people who have quit smoking and have switched to vaping. Very inspirational. :thumb:

Have fun, and keep vaping!
