I have already seen that there are LOTS of nice and helpful people here (good for me!) but to be honest, I didn't want to join another forum... I'm already stretched sooo thin... but since I've decided to take up DIY juice I figure I'm gonna need help and this is the best place I've found to get help.

And for a bit more honesty - after I get going I will probably be happy to share anything I've learned (which is exactly why I DIDN'T want to join another forum - so many interests, so little time, and every minute posting is a minute I feel guilty about not doing something more "productive" - like, uh, cleaning my house LOL)

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Welcome, KattMamma! Glad you decided against not joining another forum... you will absolutely find all of the answers you need here. And besides, we can always make room for another Texan around here!

As for DIY juice, I would highly recommend this thread: The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
There are tons of helpful people over there, and I've been able to make some pretty amazing juices with TFA's flavors... got my cost per 30ml bottle down to about a dollar so far... we share recipes over there and help each other out with suggestions and what-not, so stop by and say hi when you get a chance... it wouldn't hurt to read through the whole thread, but it isn't necessary... I've got a handful of recipes in my blog link, and Bill's Magic Vapor (another user here who is pretty active on that thread) has a bunch of really good recipes in his blog as well... Hope to see you around! :)

Well hellooooo fellow Texans! LOL

I'm in rural Texas - about an hour north(ish) of Fort Worth. I commute to FW for my day job, and lived there for many years, so in a way FW is still my home. But I've always been a country girl at heart so I was delighted to finally get back in the sticks! :)

Yup I've been lurking a LOT in the DIY forum. There are SO many places selling flavors, and I am a very picky taster, so I did a lot of homework and TFA ended up as one of my top few choices.

Hubby started vaping about the same time I did. We've already adopted roles - he researches, buys, and maintains the hardware. I learn to make the juice. He's more of a Facebook person tho, so I don't know if he'll end up joining here or not. I'm not a big FB fan, but I love forums.

I've spent the last 2 weeks or so just trying to figure out what to order to get started. I get the general idea, and I just ordered some starter supplies and flavors which I hope will be here next week. But the recipes - wow. Sooooo many recipes! And I wanted to order the right flavors to actually make something vapable on my first try, instead of just picking some willy-nilly. I still didn't nail down any specific recipes, but after reading tons of them, and learning what tastes I like, I just ordered some basic flavors I think I can start with.

Thanks again for the warm welcome guys!

Welcome from Arlington, plenty of Vapor Shops in the DFW area, I just checked out Vapor Galleria on North Tarrant Pkwy the other day just east of 35W they were very knowledgeable and friendly they taught me about different coil builds, rda's, mods and didn't try to push any products on me. They also had a bargain bin of juices 30ml for $5 I picked out a Strawberry Graham Cracker and I'm loving it. I really want to get into DIY juice also!

I've lived in Texas most of my life and never heard of Cut and Shoot - love the name LOL!

So Texas is obviously well-represented around here!! Arlington and Dallas - you guys are just down the road!

I've tried a few shops in FW, and one that's on my drive home... the experience seems to vary greatly from one shop to the next, or one employee to the next. I'm partial to one that's near my work, and they've got a premium flavor there that I would love to clone, but I'm getting ahead of myself. I know I need to crawl before I walk.

Howdy up there in OK - yep, housework sucks. I'm gonna give away my age here and say.... who else remembers earlier decades when they predicted that by the year 2000 clothing and dishes would be disposable (so no more washing), and all sorts of appliances would make the remaining housework a breeze? I've been accumulating appliances for decades, yet I still seem to spend the same amount of time on housework. Ugh.
