Oddy's, Genny's, Ithaka's, DID's, DUD's, Term-C, Dream BT804,... It goes on forever! Then there's a gazzilion drippers too.

Some may not like clones, but I personally don't have the funds to jump right into the cream of the crop. I'll try a cheaper version first. Of course, it may not be the same experience... or it may..

I think it would be REALLY helpful to a lot of folks if there was a one stop place for which as the same type.

Original - Odesyus (sp?) , Clones = Term-C, etc..... type wicks?

A7 (maybe? I don't remember), Clones = RSST, ....

Edit: Also the different wick types. There a some ceramics that are "hard" and some that look like silica??

Help the noobs all you pros!!

One type of ceramic wick is the pourous ceramic wick. These are the harder ones. They are still very fragile, so they do require some finesse, but then they have no issues of shorts like SS mesh.

The other type is called Nextel XC116/132. It is braided ceramic strands. These SHOULD NOT be used if they are not first heated in a kiln. Some vaping vendors have been kiln treated, but if you buy it from other vendors, it usually hasn't.

Genesis style atomizers- they are made to use SS Mesh as wick. Now some people have been using SS Rope, but you technically can use anything you want. These include the AGAs (t, t2), RSsT, the AC9, the DID.

Kayfun and Kayfun Lite: These are tanks RBAs that are meant to be used with silica wick. Although, many people have had stellar results with microcoils and cotton wick. The Russian and Russian 91% are pretty much part by part clones of these. The Kayfun and Lite use air pressure to deliver juice to the wick. They are extremely flavorful for being silica based attys.

Odysseus, Penelope, Ithaka- these are all high end attys made by GG. Rainbow Heaven started stepping up Chinas game and making part for part clones of these. They are the Terminator C, Euforia, and Hercules. These are made to use silica wick, but it isn't mandatory. You also need to use non resistant wire and join it to Kanthal for all of these. There are also clones called Oddy or Ody. These are made by tobeco and not recommended

the problem with a list like that is this stuff comes and goes so fast its hard to keep a list accurate and up to date.
the v5 dripper is it a clone of the numbus? could be - sorta looks more like an M1 - on and on. and with manufacturers all fighting to produce their own versions of a clone. many times it will turn out somethings not on the list because no one knew company "a" started producing their own version of the ithaka.

its more or less up to you to research or ask here when interested in something. and in a lot of cases just saying this is a clone of that doesnt guarantee it is the exact same build or performance. i have seen identical looking clones that cant come close to what they copy. and at the same time i have seen clones that are hard to tell from the original maybe even better.

Good info Mike! Great point thrasher, but sometimes it would help if we just knew the style. But, maybe you're right. There is SO many and if it's slightly different.

Clippin.. I for one don't even know the high-end's yet. I watch and see what folks are liking most, then do some reading to figure out what style it is. (I got a Term C on the way.... then it took me a bit to find out it was an Oddy clone)

Thanks all!!!!!

You'd have an easier time, finding the High-End model you like and then working backwards by asking questions on here...

And I don't know if I like it until I try it. :) And can't afford to try for big bucks. I'm very happy with my RSSTs and and igo-L for tasting. I'm just searching for something more leak proof then a genny for my wife. and getting lost again. I'll get there with all you good folks help.
