Hydro dip your mod

My girlfriend was painting her nails last night while I was trying to think of a mod to build for her. Most of my box mods are plain jane and I wanted it to be special (since she is to me).

I grabbed some water in a tub and her favorite nail polish and whipped this up. What do you guys think?

Excellent way to create a one of a kind finish!
To answer the prev question... Get a tub you don't mind getting messy.
Fill half with water.
Float your paint/polish on top.. Several colors swirled around but not thourally mixed.
Carefully dip and roll your item
Take out and let dry.
Technique is to not overdo. Random is good with this

And like kena posted, I used the same technique only I dropped the nail polish into the tub of water. You have to work quick because the layer of polish will set almost instantly depending on the type of paint/polish you use.

Great idea! You can also use those paints you used to use to paint model cars and airplanes when you were a kid.

How does the paint adhere to a metallic surface? How did you seal off the parts you didn't want painted? How did you protect the electronics from the water?

Yes, he used a plastic surface. I'm wondering if a metallic surface would work too, like on my Vamo.
