Hypnotic mist ?

My husband swears it tastes like a "rumcrook," a type of cigar he used to buy at the PX when he was a Marine back in the 60's. Of course, he's still mainly an analog smoker so perhaps we shouldn't trust his taste buds. ;-) Me, I get a light citrus high note over a smoky Turkish tobacco undertone with a buttery aftertaste. Other people have described it as tasting like 7-Up or Sierra Mist. So, yeah, I definitely feel it deserves to be called "other."
Never had LF's version of it...but if it's anything even a bit like FSUSA's version of it, it's definitely "other", as opposed to Tobacco. It's hard to describe what it tastes like, no real-world flavor describes it well...but it's really awesome! Again, I've never had LF's version, so I could be totally off-base there.
I've ordered the FlavourArt flavoring from L-F, assuming that is what FSUSA is using to make theirs ... when I got my FSUSA sampler of it, I dripped a bit to taste what the fuss was about. It tasted VERY flowery to me. Since then, I've been steeping it, hoping for the best.
Don't know, but I have tried VB's and then FSUSA's version and I hate to say it (because of the business competition) but I prefer VB's.

I would imagine if anybody is calling it Hypnotic mist it has to be the same thing, maybe just a different % of flavor. It's not like coke could come out with a product called Mountain Dew and make it different than Mountain Dew. If it's called Hypnotic mist it must be the Flavourart version.
"Hypnotic Mist" sounds like something that would be taking me back to my college days!
Weird.... 2 people have explained this flavor to me as citrus/menthol. I don't think I've seen it as a tobacco flavor. Maybe they were wrong but it sounds kind of gross from what I've seen of people talking about it.
Tried it for the first time yesterday, steeping for 2 weeks. It's simply citrus, with a light tobacco undertone. If you like citrus, great, if you don't. not so great...I'll let it sit until a warm spring day...not an every day for me, will be for someone who likes citrus.
I've still not tried what I 'set aside' from the other vendor to steep. It just smelled so flowery up front. Some of the descriptions I read, sounded so nice... I hadda try it. Like everyone raves about RY4 - and to us (day it arrived, of course - it's steeping) we tasted dirty ashtray, with hints/undertones of chocolate/caramel. LoL

Surely mine just needed a good steeping... I'll find out soon 'nuff again - maybe when an atty is about to fry, I can risk it again LoL
