Has anyone on here ever experience Hypoglycemia while vaping?
Lately ive been getting episodes of Hypoglycemia (Low Sugar) pretty much every day.
I have read few articles that stated that some ex smokers may experience this as well
as smoking cigarettes increases the chance of getting Diabetes etc. Yes I'm going to a doc
to check this out... But I was curious if anyone else have had similar symptoms.

This is the first time I have heard of this ..I don't have to regularly ck my blood sugar. Don't know if you do.
Just thinking off the top of my head...only thing I can think of is perhaps some folks with blood sugar issues might experiance an issue having a sweet vape flavor and going to that instead of that "cookie" they used to grab that helped to keep them in check....if you know what I mean....and if that makes any sense at all.

As a hypoglyemic, I've actually had less issues since I quit.

Take that as you may--there are many factors that control blood sugar and they vary depending on person/cause. If your juices are sweet, there is a chance that your body is sensing an intake of sugar (even though it isn't) and using its insulin to process what it sees as sugar, thus dropping your actual blood sugar. Nicotine is a stimulant--this can heighten the burning of your actual blood sugar based on heart rate.

Hypoglycemia is a very tricky mistress. I'm on anti-anxiety medication to keep my heart rate down, thus ensuring I do not burn off my caloric intake too fast. It is possible that the combination of increased heart rate and sense of sugar on the tongue can make the body read the wrong sugar level, while burning the real thing unknowingly.

Either way...CHECK YOUR GLUCOSE OFTEN. I've woken up in many an ambulance because of this--do NOT take low glucose levels lightly.

I guess I can see the connection with my body thinking i'm eating something sweet then having insulin response to it.
Would anyone suggest a glucose monitor that I could check out? Maybe something that comes in a starter kit and includes everything
to get me going? Thank You for replys BTW.

* I know this may be not vaping related topic per say, So, sorry in advance if this does not belong in this forum*

I go through bouts of low blood sugar, have for years. I typically have to eat every 3-4 hours to keep everything normal; waiting more than 6 hours makes me shakey and nauseated.

I've not found that vaping triggers low blood sugar for me, per se, but more that I'm less likely to sense that it's time to eat if I'm busy vaping. My mind isn't as focused on my body's hunger signals so I just vape away while reading/working/whatever, and then suddenly I realize I've waited too long to eat.

Walmart's glucometer (ReliOn) will do. It comes with the meter, lancing device, and should include some test strips. You don't need anything fancy. The test strips for the other brands are insane even with insurance. Walmart's are priced very affordable and work just as well.

And yeah, I agree that vaping could be triggering an insulin response. Remember to eat small snacks too. Keep a logbook of the times you feel low and write down the blood sugar after you start checking them. Also make note of any activity you were doing and foods you've eaten. It will help to prevent lows from happening in the future.

Hold on now, from what I have gathered sweetner is added to juices. What that sweetner is I am not sure ans probably varies from juice to juice. Some juices I have tried have been so sweet and got me to thinking about tooth decay from years of vaping lol.
This wouldn't be a laughing matter if it does effect blood sugar.
Since most juices do not display ingredients and amounts how do we know for sure what we are ingesting.
