One Step Beyond
Spent the last 4 days re-trying tobacco juices that were "OK" or were trying to improve their flavor through steeping. All from different venders, all well-steeped. Limited success, most are weak flavored or the 'tobacco flavor' is only at the backend, pretending to be cigarette smoke Now -charged batt, new Resurrector carto, clean tank. Fill with steeped, last of my stash of ecigexpress Premium Tobacco. I've been denying myself this last bit, new bottle is in the box, needs another week. But I'm tired of half-..., weird tasting concoctions of what some venders brew as 'their special blend", mostly mixed with sweet, carmally, ersatz taste. Did these venders ever smoke something other than the cheapest brand of commercial tobacco? Do they try to duplicate a cig taste with all the chemicals and processing of real tobacco? Is their idea of a great cigarette a Marlboro? Taste, of course, being subjective, I will vape my very favorite bit of chemical bliss, the taste and vapor that's kept me not only away from analogs, but, gratefully, totally replaced them with something much, much better. Ah, better living through chemistry. I am going to sit back, fire up, drink water, and peruse the latest posts on ECF (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart or the Colbert Report not being on yet.)

I feel the same way.

I relate everything back to dieting. No, Diet Coke doesn't taste like Coke, ff cheese doesn't taste like real cheese, ff yogurt doesn't taste like haagan daz but if I close my eyes I can pretend and live with it.

I just didn't raise the bar that high. When I got my first juice I prayed that it didn't suck and make me gag. And it didn't!! The longer I vaped it, the more I liked it. I never expected a love affair with my juice, so I wasn't disappointed. More like a like affair.

I've gotten juices that were so bad they gave me chills and I actually laughed when I vaped them they were so bad. I've found my little niche of juices that work for me. Thank Goodness.

I've been away from analogs for so long now that I have truly forgotten what they tasted like. But, I don't EVER recall a cigarette tasting like tobacco, I mean real tobacco, like fine pipe tobacco or a quality cigar or even chewing tobacco. Cigarettes are made from the cheapest grade of tobacco known to man to maximize profits. Then combine that tobacco with all the additives that BT shoves in there for a multitude of reasons and the result is the analog. After vaping for a bit, we find that we had NO idea how awful those analogs tasted, it was just the familiarity in flavor that we were allured to.

I STILL lean toward tobacco flavored vapes as my all day go-to but it is FAR different flavor than the analog. The e-liquid tobacco flavoring, albeit an imitation of REAL tobacco, is much more desirable than the analog and much closer in flavor to REAL tobacco.

As swede pointed out, it does take awhile to find exactly the right ones but heavenly when one does.

Enjoy your ecigexpress premium tobacco as I make a mental note to try that one out. One can NEVER have enough go-to e-liquids. =)

for me the flavor is big, but the TH is what i need to keep me off of analogs. i can sacrafice perfect flavor if its got a kickin TH. vapor production is great too. i love seeing the vapor, but it takes a back seat to the other two.

what funny is i even had problems with TH with analogs! the only difference is that i never knew the term TH while i smoked. i would "finesse" fresh cigarettes to remove a bit of tobacco and have it burn faster. i would leave packs open for days to dry them out and make them burn quicker.
when they passed the bill added the thicker paper in the "Fire Safe Cigarettes", it got even harder. i had to tug twice as hard to get a good pull. and smoking down to the filter was pleasurable becasue the smoke was hotter and harsher. god im glad im not still raging cancer sticks.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news Kemo but, it is NOT thicker paper that makes them "fire safe". In many cases it is basically plastic woven into the rolling paper. See the hypocrisy here? The FDA has an issue with e-cigarettes because <cough> "we just don't know about them" but they have NO problem with infusing EVA into analogs with NO proof that this would even prevent a fire. Read for yourself and draw your own conclusions...

I dont consider it bad news. so dont worry about being the bearer. to me its just news. i am completely indifferent to it. but either way, fwiw the link you provided backed my claim of thicker paper. plus all i said was thicker paper, the paper could be thickend with anything (of course i didnt know it at the time, i just like making myself appear correct LOL).

"Different companies use different materials (including thicker bands of paper[citation needed]) for the ‘speed bumps’ in order to comply with regulations.[citation needed] Most commercial cigarette papers in fact use cellulosic and alginate bands[citation needed]

thanks for giving me the update i always appreciate knowledge. it does not surprise me that theyre not only using thicker paper, but they are thickening it with plastic. awesome.
