My name is Barbara. I started vaping on April 19, 2014. Initially, it was not in order to quit smoking. I did not think it was possible for me to quit smoking. I am a dispatcher and my favorite shift is graveyard. I was going to be working a week of graveyard without being able to go outside to smoke. I mentioned this at the store where I bought my cigarettes and she told me about a store near my place of work where I could get set up with an eGo-C and juice inexpensively. I decided it was better than nothing and bought a set up. From April 19th to May 23 I bought and smoked most of four packs of cigarettes( I usually smoked 14-15 cigarettes a day ). On May 23rd I realized that I was not smoking because I enjoyed it, I only enjoyed vaping. I was smoking out of habit. That was my last cigarette. I am extremely happy with vaping. This forum has explained so much that I didn't understand and I am so thankful for everyone who answers the questions posted.

Hi Barbara,

Welcome to ECF!
I love to read these stories of people who were able to quit smoking without even really trying to. For me, after having really tried, with other methods, and failing miserably...the ease of switching to vaping still seems like a miracle.
Congratulations on making the switch!!

Enjoy your vaping journey!
:)

I didn't think it was possible for me either. And I tried a Blu disposable just out of curiosity only to forget to light up for the rest of the day. Shocked me lemme tell ya. :)

Now it's been just over a year since my last cig and I'm still a bit dazed. But can't imagine going back now. Cigs seem so... plain?

Welcome aboard!
