Would've posted this in the Fogger V2 thread but I don't have enough posts here apparently.

I was very excited to get this new re-buildable but upon trying it out for the first time I realized there was no airflow. Not just a tight draw but nearly impossible to suck air through. After reading some posts in the Fogger thread I decided to try and take apart the part under the deck/building area. I messed it up bad:(. Guess it really doesn't matter, it didn't work anyhow. Maybe I can figure out how to use it as a dripper. Pics so you can share my sadness:

Any suggestions are welcome, though I'm sure this is a lost cause.

I know that the airflow is closed but open/closed didn't matter there was just no airflow at all. I did not drop it. I read a couple posts in this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/461281-fogger-v2-wow.html which explained how to take apart the bottom as some people had problems with the gasket in there being twisted and covering the air holes. So using a screwdriver in the juice holes and a wrench around the bottom I tried to open it up...too hard apparently. Here's some pics which, possibly, show what I'm talking about a little better.

I'm sure there's not much to be done about this but since I need more posts anyway to post anywhere but the newbie threads I'm going for it.

eeeark1, Nice pictures!! Sorry looks like your Fogger base is trashed. Welcome to ECF!!! Get your post count up & jump in the threads. I see a second Fogger in one of your pictures, so you still have one working? You can try to bend the edges back near form. I have no machining equipment, so i could not help repair the base. I have read other posts were the airhole is blocked in the base. I have no issue with mine, so i wont be attempting the base tear down. You could try putting the base in the freezer, few hours, then see if the base will pop free again. Have a great day and enjoy the clouds.

    Much better Photographer than mechanic.

Would have been simpler/safer to grip the Smooth section of the top piece with padded pliers.

Unfortunate, but possible to heat and straighten back out. You would need a pipe the size of the inside diameter to work it back to round. Then some work to get the threads functioning again.

I did much the same thing. Finally made a gripper out of a block of wood to hold the base in a vise and used pliers to remove the next section. As far as repairing the damage...I had good luck carefully bending the threaded back out to round. I bent it a little tried the threaded cone, bent some more, tried the cone, and so on until it all worked smoothly. Good luck I hope you can salvage it.

I know that it is months later now, but I just saw this thread, and I had the same problems. I nearly destroyed my fogger trying to disassemble it. It looked even worse than yours and I never was able to open it up (I think they welded it shut...). I managed to bend things back into place with pliers, a hammer, and a lot of brute strength. It turns out that if my positive pin is not screwed down enough on the fogger, then when I screw it into the mod, the pin gets pushed up and blocks the airflow. screwing the positive pin down further got rid of that problem for me and it actually works pretty well now. hope this helps anyone still having these problems.

from the looks of things, did you turn it clockwise?? or is the picture reversed?
the idea of the heat is to loosen the threads you were trying to undo... to reverse the damage ( try to) find a small socket from a socket wrench set and press it into the inside of the unit carefully, gently rock the socket to expand the parts bent inwards... just an Idea...might work, cant make it any worse ;)
