For 45 bucks, I'd call this Flash tank a great buy. The ease of build is kind of tricky, a lot of parts, but the deck itself was easy to build on. I'll explain what I did briefly, but best to watch a video. It's a single air hole, 2-post setup with the center open, so I had to leave some long legs on my coil to keep it close to the air hole. I just did a simple build, 6 wraps of 28 AWG kanthal on a 3/32 drill bit wicked with cotton, came in at 1.1 ohms. I was a little worried that the included wicks between the tank and the vapor chamber would leak, but so far, so good.
I'm incredibly happy with the vape; best tank I've used so far. The airflow screw: ditch it. It's a very tight draw, mouth-to lung only. If that's your style, I doubt you're reading this thread, but there are much easier setups for that kind of draw. The vape in tank mode v.s. dripper mode is almost identical, just slightly cooler because of the added distance between coil and drip tip. If you're a dripper addict that needs a comparable vape in the car, BUY THIS! Props to the original designer, it's a great system. When I can afford it, I'll likely buy one for comparison. For those who do pick this up, inspect your o-rings, one was screwed up and would probly have caused a hellacious leak on filling. I also added one of the spare o-rings to the bottom of the chimney piece for extra leak-proofing. I'm not sure if it was necessary, but it gives me piece of mind.
Thank you Jimi D. for posting the video that helped me find this device!
