I bought a new ego twist battery and the light on the charger is yellow?

Usually the regular battery turns to green when done. Is this normal or is the charge complete? It's the new twist battery with 1000mh

On some batteries it will go from red to yellow to green, I think it's normal.

While I have you here, can you explain what the different voltages refer to? What are they used for?

Different voltages work better for different resistance cartomizers, for example, you might want to use 4.2 volts for a low resistance carto, like 2 ohms. I can give you a little advice but I'm no expert. Are you using an atomizer, cartomizer, cartridge?

Ok, the best thing to do would be to start with low voltage and then see how it tastes, then work your way up to find your sweet spot. I think with a standard resistance atomizer, you probably shouldn't go above 4.6 or so. I'm not much of a dripper, hopefully some other members will chime in here...?

Apologies I'm a noob. It pulls ok at 4.4 the way I like it. The atomizers are the original one that comes in the starter kit. I'm going to say 2.2ohms

Actually the ticks are in .2 increments but you can set your voltage any way you like it.

My rule of thumb (got it from somewhere on ECF) - atomizer/carto resistance + 2 = voltage as a starting point, then you can play around by going up or down.

So in your case - 2.2 + 2 = 4.2 Volts.

Anything between 2.5 and 3.0 Ohms - your battery will last longer (doesn't matter what Mah).

The 3.2 / 4.0 / 4.8 numbers are just a reference. You can set the knob anywhere, besides the numbers and get a different voltage.

Yes, lower resistance is better if you are limited to PV producing only up to 3.7 volts.
But...
On average the sweet spot is around 8.5 watts.

To get to that spot, ~8.5 watts, you have to use these voltages:
1.7 Ohm: 3.8 volts, 2.23 amps
2.5 Ohm: 4.6 volts, 1.85 amps
3.0 Ohm: 5.05 volts, 1.68 amps

Either 1.7 or 2.5 (and whatever is between) will give you 8.5 watts using Ego C Twist, but 3.0 at maximum of 4.8 v only gives you 7.68 watts.

Oh, and the lesser the amps drawing from the battery the longer battery's time between recharge.
