I did not know there were any 38 amp 18650 batteries. Not sure there is for continuous drain rate anyway.

These are supposed to be new and I was just curious if these are rewraps or dangerous you know? I have a green sony high drain and is it on par with that or possibly a better battery?

All eFest batteries are rewraps. They aren't manufacturers. Ebay battery purchases are usually sketchy IMO, you don't know if they're genuine. In the case of eFest though, I highly doubt someone would take the time to make clones, they could have done it with more reputable brands.

Good batteries, given you are willing to be patient for shipping, are cheap and easy to get.

I'll be using them in my American muscle v2 coming in the mail, my Rig clone, my Stingray mech mod, and my Anubis hybrid

Any legit sony vtc4 or vtc5 will be better than an Efest. You should avoid buying your batteries from fleabay amazon etc. Purchase from trusted suppliers like illumination supply, orbtronics, xtar, etc. Efest are decent batteries but the amp rating is inflated. Most of the cells they have are 20A rated rather than what they put on the wrapper.

It looks like they actually have a CDR of 30A but I couldn't really find much more than that. That explains it and turns off some of the alarms I had going on in my head.

I would still be cautious though and treat them as 20As until you have time to slowly test them.

Based on the specs I could find (max voltage of 4.25 with 30A CDR), they are capable of firing down to 0.14 ohms. I don't get the reason to buy these over proven batteries. Even a 20A battery could fire down to 0.21 ohms. Is 0.07 really worth the risk? You're getting less MAH too.

How do I treat them as a lower amp battery? I was into vapes when the ego batteries and the protank were top of the line... I started smoking again so I quit using them... I quit a few months ago and got into the mods and RDA's... I bought cotton and some kanthal and can you give me a few tips and can you share some things I shouldn't do and some mistakes you've learned from?

You just need to be safe and certain. Use battery handling best practices and steam engine is your best friend:

You know the printed amperage is wrong, at the CDR is at best 30A. You also know that a worst case scenario these would most likely be 20A. The difference between 30A and 20A has on the target resistance of your coils is not huge. I'd build for no lower than 0.3

In my opinion the best batteries to buy are the sony vtc range, samsung 25r's or lg he2/he4's. Next time you buy some go to a reputable supplyer and get one of these brands then you can be confident that they will perform as stated.

Don't get sucked in by efests over priced batteries with overstated specs.
