Oh dear!

The button on my Buzz Pro was a sticking a bit more and more over the past week. I may have gotten a bit of juice in it when a clearomizer cracked and leaked.
Every so often it would stay in the ON pressed position even though I had released my finger.

It stuck so badly the last time it got very hot and I had to use a dishtowel to hold it and press again so it would pop out.
I waited for it to cool enough to handle it - horrible burnt coffee/atty smell.
I removed the carto but the adapter was on there good and stuck.
When I turned it, it then realeased all of a sudden and I twisted too hard - broke the red wire on the inside . :(
I tried to repair it, hubby tried to repair it but no luck.

It needs a red wire transplant. I feel so unworthy.

Mike? What is the proper procedure for return and repair?

Never using a clearomizer again!

I will send it back to the back cave ASAP!

Tracy - I don't think you need to avoid clearomizers per se. Simply handle them with care.
I try to make it a point with any cartomizer to twist it onto a battery just until it resists a bit.
And not from the top. That puts all the stress at the base where it connects to the threads.
That is probably a good practice with anything threaded. Just enough so it is secure.

Sometimes, now I did not do this of course, a person may change a cartomizer while driving with one hand and twisting with the other holding the cartomizer between their teeth.
That will cause a bit of breakage.
Not that I did that - I'm just saying.

Don't twist and drive.

The new clearo's have a sealed connector and more durable tubes (frosted tube) now. That eliminate both cracking and leaking. I've been using them for a month or so and haven't had the issues that older version had (cracking, leaky connector). Just an FYI. :)

Not even when you drive a truck over em:blush:
