I am sorry if I am uselessly posting uselessly but this whole rda business excites me to no end..

Just.. the installing of my own little metal loops inside a little metal device and playing with tools and tweezers and such while giggling in my bedroom just ..is great... and since this is only my second functioning coil I thought I'd share it also in support of other newbs who find this intimidating cause it seems like it is.. until you do it!

Attention newbs! YOU can DO this!
It's cheaper and it tastes so much of awesome ( ^o^)~~!

Behold! A sparkly new Troll V2 and it's center mounted twisted 0.7ohm scottish wicked coil or whatever it is (which I couldn't wait to use so sorry it's all sticky and not shiny new but idk I can't help myself..)

(yes yes it's "half finished" – I will eventually commit to two coils when I am ready geez whiz (>_>)

You are braver than me. It took me years before I got the courage to do this. Kept making every excuse. But you are right...once you get started its so easy. Don't know why I waited so long.

Looks like a good set up you got going. The coils seems to be centered so I am not seeing any room for a 2nd coil. Maybe 2 smaller ones at some point, but if this is what you like, go for it.
I am not familiar with the troll. How's the air flow. Kinda looks like you may be blocking it some? Any leaks?
Good job.

Thanks you! And ..so far.. this thing is actually -really- amazing. It was only like 25 dollars, it came with it's own little screwdriver, some cotton, some prebuilt twisted coils and spare screws and o-rings and everything!

It has a spinny airflow top, so you can twist it to choke the holes to adjust it exactly the way you want it. I don't know the difference between horizontal holes and diagonal holes, but you get both options. The diagonal ones seem to "pwhoosh" more air through, it feels cooler. The horizontal ones have kind of a warmer feeling IMO.

I have mine set about 1/3 open with the horizontal holes and it's quite perfect!

The best part is the well is like 10mm deep! It holds tons of juice and the holes in the posts are really large and the screws are really well centered. I mean ..I got this coil in there in no time and I didn't even have to fuss with it to make the legs center. It nearly centered itself.

Have you watched any videos on you tube on how to build this tank? Just google 'how to build' and insert your tank. Lots of stuff to watch and its always easier to watch when someone else does it instead of guessing at it.

I watched a few! Enough to get in there with pliars! Half the fun is tinkering.

I am benefited a little by the fact that I took a 1st year jewelry course while in college. It was mostly wrapping wire. Lol. We made our own O rings from silver and set simple stones into rings and such. (I made chain mail necklaces arrrrgh so awesome) So I'm comfortable with the wire tinkering. Just the electricity part is a new twist on an old classic :D

Sounds good to me. But you tube is still the best place if you are not sure as each tank seems to have their own little 'thing' about them to make sure you get the best out of the tank.

Okay update.. I also learned dual coils~
0.67ohms, 26g kanthal 8 wraps on a 2mm post thing.
..yeah okay two coils is clearly working a lot more effectively ..and they heat up and cool down -so- much faster....I am learning more science right now than I ever remember learning in high school..
