I built my first coil!!!!!!!

I am SO happy right now! I ordered a gold plated Trident rda (looks so freaking awesome on my brass mechanical) and when it got here, I made the stupid mistake of trying to vape on it with the build it came with. LOLOL D'oH!

OK so then after choking on fumes for a minute, I realized the coil and wick that came with were total crap, and I poured myself a glass of wine, got my supplies together, and set about finally building a micro coil and wicking it with cotton. 28 gauge kanthal - wound it around a piano wire. Flamed it while squeezing.

First try - PERFECT.

1.6 ohms.

Glowing red perfectly and evenly. Perfect spacing from the posts and rim.

Thought I wouldn't be able to get the cotton into such a small coil, but... it was easy!

And the vape?

A W E S O M E.

OMG who knew I'd have this sense of total elation?

The stock coil was absolute garbage!!!!!
Just for giggles, I put it on my mech and fired it. Took about 10 seconds to heat up. Lol

Looking back, I can't even imagine ever wanting a cigarette. This is so much more enjoyable... seriously. Actually the thought of smoking at this point is disgusting to me. Vaping is just a million times more satisfying.

Way to go! I just started with RDAs myself (IGO-W). I swore I wouldn't bring it work with me. That lasted about 3 days. After you experience a proper RDA build, everything else PALES in comparison.
