Orders slowed down a bit. I hope this wasn't due to my "situation". Please remember, Tasty Vapor has a full team to mix, ship, etc.

This could also be due to the fact that people have Mothers and probably wanted to spend money on gifties fer their Mums.

I think the latter would be the logical choice.

In any case. After 40 years of wearing glasses and contacts, it's nice to be able to see without.

So, I'm back and ready to mix!

Lasik in the right, and PRK in the left. Still won't be able to see out of the left for the next week or so. But the right....crystal clear!

I'm considering lasik too...how was it? I don't know how I'd do when they start cutting; it scares the hell out of me. No more contacts would be nice though.

The Lasik went QUICK! Vision in the right was improved instantly, but not perfect. That will happen over the next few days.

PRK took a little longer. Don't know if anybody is boned up on that procedure. I definitely feel for anybody who has it in both eyes. You "grow" into the prescription. Could take a couple of weeks to see.

Glad it went well, Geoff. So, did you have to wear those dorky sunglasses? My husband had to wear them and I had to drive him around and I think he had to wear an eye patch in the shower.

Glad to hear it Geoff!! I was thinking about doing it myself, my I have diabetes, so I'm not sure that I'd qualify.

I had this surgery 15 years ago...they offered it to us at work at 1/2 price when it was first becoming popular. It's the best surgery ever.

Isnt it awesome to be able to wake up and see perfectly without grabbing for those hateful glasses ?

Well, I don't think they can if you suffer from keratoconus, but in older eyes, they have three treatments:

Monovision - treating one eye for distance, and one eye for reading (seemed rather pointless to me)

Distance - treating eyes to see for distance, but requires reading glasses for reading

Near vision - of course, allows you to see thing clearly up close and you'd need glasses to see distances.

I opted for distance vision.

But I don't know how much a factor age plays into things. I could be wrong. (often am)

Congrats! I had Lasik done to both eyes about 7 years ago. Best thing ever. Lately I've been thinking I might need reading glasses (turning 45 this year and tiny words on pages are starting to blur).

But I got a Kindle and increased the font instead!

How does it feel to see when you wake up in the morning without the glasses or contacts. I'm legally blind so I have to "feel my way" to my glasses. I've always been to scared to do the surgery for fear of losing what little sight I have! Good on you Mr. Tasty Vapor!
