Just finished my last regular cig and am not venturing out in the snow and -40 temps they are predicting tomorrow to get more...Let's see if I can do it this time with only e-cigs. I have failed 2 other times but now I have some juices I love and 2 ego-c twist batteries. If anyone has any suggestions on how to stick with it your help is appreciated.

Discard your butts now in a way that they're not usable. Trust me, they may start looking really attractive later and you know there's a puff or two left... :)

With the weather, you're going to be disinclined to go out. That's good and it'll help.

Other than that, vape a lot, and vape before you feel the need for nicotine--just for a few days. Try to train yourself out of the need/smoke cycle. It helped me out a lot, and I eventually stopped associating nicotine with cigarettes. My vape had what I wanted!

Some of us do take longer and do have the occasional cigarette during the transition. There's really nothing wrong with that. So I don't have any issue with it if you do smoke, just so long as you're smoking less this week than you did last week. It took me three months to make the full switch and trying out about thirty different things.

Honestly, the only way I stopped was by how disgusting they started to taste and feel. Good juice and atomizers are key. Having more tracks than you know what to do with is good, but I quit with only one carto tank. I was constantly around smokers(ing) during that time too.

What kind of atomizers are you using?

Good luck:)

LOL about the butts...thankfully all of mine are outside in the snow filled ashtray....the downfall is that my dad lives with my fiance and I and he smokes so I might be bumming from him.

I tried buying a pack and saying I was going to just smoke less but I didn't smoke that much to start...1 on the way to work, 2 on my way home and maybe 2 more in the evening. I am currently using 6mg juices because I smoked lights and not that much...I do have some 11mg but they are higher PG and make me cough A LOT....thinking I have a sensitivity to PG

Thanks everyone for the advice I hope it works this time...like I said 2 failed attempts thus far...hoping my new juices I LOVE keep me from buying a pack of smokes

You can do it!!!
Just don't pay a lot of attention to "quitting". Make more out of the new, exciting experience of vaping!

On 12/26/13 I bought a starter kit on my way to a local bar that recently banned smoking. Got a flavor I liked and left ($60).
Yes, I "craved" that old habit while there, but was glad not to have to go outside to smoke. Got home, kept playing with my new toy (vaping) and found that I had become too lazy to go outside of my own home to smoke. I really didn't want a cigarette, I was just in the habit of going outside about 3 - 4 times per hour. By the 26th, I no longer wanted to light up that stinky cigarette, nor go outside I had added Mocha as my second flavor and a new atomizer, and bounced back between the two.
Today, there is a half pack sitting next to me and I just don't want to smoke them.

I guess that now, with vaping, I am just too lazy to smoke...

Hang in there - you can do it!!!

That's basically how I did it. I ran out of cigs and just didn't go get anymore. It might be helpful if you have some higher nic juice to use in case the cravings get to be a bit much.

This is pretty much what I did as well.
Just vape whenever you feel the urge for a cig coming on.
The higher nic juice is great if you have it. Otherwise vape away.
Good luck & stay strong! You can do it!

i just told myself i was going to make it work for me... i look at it like this....

life feeling 100% better on one hand.... certain death while stinking up my little corner of this world on the other.

made my choice pretty easy. i am stronger than any craving and you are too,if you want it. no way in the world i would go back to the pitiful state i was in before vaping. best of luck with your choice. Toona

If you have somewhere you smoke regularly go there and vape. I used to smoke outside and when I switched I found that stepping outside and vaping for a few minutes helped fight off that craving much better than vaping around the house.
