I cannot believe I finally found an RTA that doesn't leak or flood - and it was a very unexpected candidate!

After having all kinds of leak issues with various rta's, both original and clone, finally found one that doesn't leak, regardless of position you lay it, or kept in pocket, etc. and you can rebuild the deck without loosing or leaking any juice!

I figured this breakthrough would be via some $175 rta, but much to my surprise, the first non-leaker is the $45 Kanger Subtank

Hmmm I was at a local shop looking at an IPV Mini. They had a Sub Tank on it and when they took it off and laid it down it leaked everywhere. Was also in another shop that I like to hang out and shoot the chit and in the few hours I was in there two different people came in with Sub Tanks that had leaking problems.

Guess you got lucky.

After experiencing leaking with my Fogger v4 and Kayfun Lite v2 (dual airflow) I kind of expected all RTA's to leak somewhat, but I've been pleasantly surprised with my eLeaf Lemo. As long as it's wicked properly I can bring it to bed with me, and regardless of what position it ends up in, I've never gotten even the slightest sign of any leaking. The bottom cap/510 adapter is awesome for catching any minor leaks so that they never reach the outside of the device. I like the Lemo so much I picked up another regular Lemo and a Lemo Drop, can't beat the reliability of this RTA!

I have had my Lemos for a while and only experienced one leak. And it was a total fluke. Dunno what caused it and as long as it never happens again I don't care. LOL They do build up a little condensation under the bottom cap. And some people have mistaken that for leaking.

its all about the build.

I second this. I've got an ErlK nano clone, the first build was so bad the juice was leaking out faster than I was putting it in. The second and third builds dumped juice when it was on its side. Then I tried a larger coil and switched from rayon to Japanese cotton and it hasn't leaked a drop (or dry hit) since.

If your RTA leaks, it's either a broken part, bad seal, or the build. The first 2 are easy to check. For the third one, test the build with unflavored PG/VG so you don't waste nic or flavoring if you get it wrong. Once you're happy put the PG/VG base into a storage container and fill with your desired juice.

don't think so, I suspect user error, the engineering and design of this is such that if you assemble it correctly and don't screw up the seals, it is pretty much leak-proof - never seen engineering at this level on a Chinese RTA, and quite possibly not on ANY RTA.

It operates on the same principles as the Kayfun or Lemo, therefore susceptible to user error caused leaks.

Considering their insulators have been dissolving in peoples' juices or giving off flavor in the juice, I'd say their engineering has some improvements that need to be made, especially considering they had to release 3 coils until the last one didn't have problems.

If you wan't to see awesome engineering, check out the Rose, or even the Kayfun 4, even though that is over-engineered to a certain degree.

As for leaking, almost any RTA built correctly based on it's design won't leak. I love my Kayfun 3.1 ES clone specifically because it is so easy to wick in a way that won't leak at all, or even have a gurgle.

I want to get a LEMO, but I think I'm going to get a Kayfun v4 clone before that; I love my kayfun clone so much, and I like the aesthetics of the v4 and the fact that it comes with a glass tank. I know it won't perform any better, but I'm satisfied with the performance as is.

However I heard the LEMO has better flavor surprisingly, and that's the other reason I love my kayfun so much; I'm a flavor junky. I can't imagine any other tank being better in that regard, but I guess I have to find out when I decide to grab a LEMO. The drop doesn't have enough capacity for me personally

The leaking some people are getting through the afc holes is most likely due to an upside down oring that goes between the afc and the glass tank. The red oring in the afc has a rounded side and a flat side, as long as the rounded side is facing upwards towards the tank it will seal correctly, unfortunately, kanger in all their professionalism has been shipping a large number of them with the oring upside down(flat side up), which will also cause it to not sit properly and most likely fall out the first time someone removes the afc. That being said I am also loving the subtank with no leaks whatsoever. Need to get some lower nic juice to use in it because I can't stop hitting it lol.

My KFL v2 (dual air) leaked, on previous builds. Now I stuff more cotton in there, and it doesn't. It would always work great kept upright, but leak if I kept it in my pocket too long. Ive found leaving an air space above the juice channels leaks for me. I am sure even with more cotton, its still wouldn't be good all day shaking around in my coat pocket, but its way better. IMHO/YMMV!!

What's your secret? if in up position I get no leaking, but can't completely prevent from going sideways/flat in my jacket pocket. At that point it will leak.

My guess is I don't have complete 100% vacum. If it leaks only when sideways it probably couldn't be the build. Don't know. replaced chimney oring and that helped a lot. But don't know what kind of orings would fit for the glass part.

I wonder sometimes becuase I live at high altitude maybe has something to do with it. But then I also feel dumb for thinking that.

My lemo, so far, only leaked when I made a mistake or was learning to wick it properly. So long as I wick it properly, and ensure the o-rings are in place, it's like a swiss clock.

I get a very small amount of leaking with my kanger - nothing drastic and only if it's bouncing around in my pocket a lot.

when I first got the subtank my oring was upside down - and it actually fell out at my first coil change it for sure leaked a lot when I didn't realize the oring was missing. Finally resigning that it had either come without the oring or I'd lost it I was about to get one from lowes to replace it assuming it was gone forever but found it under my desk installed it correctly and the leak problem is very very minimal (At worst a small amount of residue around the airflow control ring but definitely not enough to end up with a sticky hand or a wet pocket.
