Both increase surface area contact with the wick.... The Clapton more so. The Clapton is a flavor build. The trade off is its harder to build then a twisted wire.

A square of cotton squeezed between the coil and the posts... I'm running it dual coil, so some on each side of the posts
That's the variant right?,I remember when you got it was not exactly sure the name of it it's been so long ago,clapton build extremely sharp out of my league I'm still just working with the single micro coils.
Yeah, that's the variant clone....$300 version of an $800 mod

im actually a big fan of some braided wire myself for my builds, great flavor, battery conserving (depending on gauge), and did I mention the flavor? lol here is a picture of some twisted braided wire that I have

Well... Other then my drippers on my variant.... No more Clapton coils for me..... I've been bitten by the temp control bug... And I don't see me going back, other then the rare times I feel like huge clouds
The evic vt and heatvape invader mini I won..... Are freakin awesome.
Building with nickel is a different beast, but not as difficult as I feared it would be. Sadly I didn't take pics of my current builds, I'll do that next time I need to rewick

I might be a little late in the game but aspire has a new one out "triton" or at least I just found out about it, it looks pretty sharp and would be easy to build, which is right down my alley.

Just noticed.....boxer is not a good name for this.... There cylinders are vertical, a boxer engine has horizontal cylinders.... Guess I'll call it vtech
