I can't post a new topic because it says I'm trying to post a link, which I am not

For one I can understand the need to weed out the trash and set posting restrictions but this is a pain in the ......

I'm trying to make a post about my terrible experience with an online vendor so people can avoid them. I have mentioned their site but not posted any links. Am I not even allowed to mention their name?

No. I mentioned the name of the vendor in the title an not in a www type format with no spaces

It might be that the vendor is banned from this forum. Have you tried typing the vendor in a post and just get ...... <~~those dots? If so, that means that the forum has blocked that vendors name from the forum.

For some reason, that name sounds familiar to me.

Either way, you now have 5 posts in. At 25 after the hour, you will be able to post in the review section. If you actually make a review here, I would have to move it anyway. We don't allow negative reviews out in the main forum. Give me a second and I can give you a link to where the negative reviews go.

Hopefully to your satisfaction.

I don't think that this particular vendor has a very good reputation around here.

Well not really. I filed a claim with my bank to get my money back. Long story which I tried to explain in my post that I can't create lol. I was looking to spread awareness of this place to newcomers

I hope you did/do get your money back. Maybe people will google the vendor before purchasing from them. There are loads of good vendors out there. Try not to let one bad apple get ya down :)

If you see someone ask about them, let them know your experience with them. :)

Oh I will. I've had some outstanding experiences with online vendors. I buy my juice locally and my equipment online. Vapor foundry for one has been incredible. I just thought it would be good to spread the word a bit more about Catskill before more people get stuck in this mess. The more I search the worse they sound. I've seen a lot of archived and closed threads about them here since I've searched I just think it's important to spread the word. I should have done my research beforehand, yeah, but I blind bought from Vapor Foundry and have already ordered again and had my girlfriend order twice as well.

It's still better to put it in the negative reviews sub forum.

In all fairness, if the problem is with an ECF registered supplier they cannot reply to a negative review unless it is posted in the negative reviews section, or on their own ECF supplier forum here if they have one. It's just the forum rules here and how the place works.

For much the same reason, negative reviews aren't usually allowed in the general forums, because it's too much of a likelihood it can turn into a one sided "me too!" bash fest - again that an ECF supplier can't respond to. And if they aren't an ECF registered supplier you can still get your point across in the negative reviews section for everyone to see.
