I could get used to this...

So far in the 3 weeks I have been vaping I have pretty much kept what i'm doing to myself. My friends know I vape and I have converted one of them to vaping and I have also converted my mum, my sister and my niece but I haven't quite had the guts to be too open about my vaping in public. That was until yesterday when the crap weather meant that myself and my fiance decided to spend sunday window shopping in the Trafford centre. Apart from seeing a very nice Omega I wouldn't mind the thought of walking round a big shopping centre is pretty soul destroying and I was soon getting a tad stressed and desperately wanting to vape. The place was packed and I just couldn't build the confidence to whip out my Riva around so many people so I decided a good cup of tea was called for. The food court was really really busy and it took ages to grab a seat so by the time we managed to get sat down my stress levels had hit the roof. The cuppa did the trick and I was feeling a bit more relaxed so I thought sod it i'm going to vape and vape I did. It felt really really good being able to just sit there and get my nic fix and although I felt a bit daft and on show at first I soon became pretty comfortable with vaping with literally hundreds of people around. I got a couple of funny looks but nobody said anything to me and my fiance wasn't too bothered about me drawing attention to us. I think I will start using my pv alot more often in public now and will see how it goes down in some of the pubs round here. I really do think the best attitude to have is a 'sod it' attitude and vape whenever and wherever you want to. The confidence to do it will soon come.

It seems e-cigs are viewed in a different light in the UK, here in the US I often get the "You know there's anti-freeze in that don't you". I just tell them that they're lack of education is showing and so for they've just left in a huff. Another problem here is the smokers will see me exhale vapor and immediately light up, and then create a big scene when told to no. So I don't vape anymore where smoking is not allowed, just too many idiots to deal with.

elwcom you should give the food court a go I was shocked how few dirty looks I got. I however wouldn't dare vape in the Levi store. Strange!!! I always vape in asda and don't get any bother so as BardicDruid says I think people have a bit of a 'whatever' attitude in the UK. I am yet to give the local pubs a go... wish me luck!!!!

I work in a bar so i think majority of the people coming in and out have witnessed me puffing on my Titan when it starts to get packed! I usually tell the ones taking offense my doctor gave it me on prescription because I had a 80 a day addiction (It was only 20 I swear).
Wouldn't dare try asda, I can just see it now, security guard slapping me silly with a pack of smart price spaghetti!

Hahahahaha I feel your pain regarding the premier inn windows they are a proper ball ache to smoke out of!!! Done the sock over the smoke detector a few times myself too but always been really paranoid about the smoke getting through. Not stayed in a hotel since I started vaping so will be nice to be able to chill in bed and vape away next time I stay in one.
