Newly starting on DIY. I began checking over the pages of ideas and chatter on here and there are 501 pages to look at and my poor eyes can't hold up that long. I began vaping about 3 yrs ago and the easiest thing for me to do was to stop by the local vape store and pick up a couple of their flavors. At $20 for 30 or 50ml was good at first, but it became expensive. Not just the cost whatever flavor I selected, but the cost & time of driving to one of their outlets just became too much of a hindrance. I decided to make my own and DYM, Do It Myself) I have ordered some flavors from TPA/TFA and a few other places like Mt Baker's. Got ahold of the ol' never fail e-juice me up calculator and sat down at the computer checking out the recipes on here. I have a couple of questions I hope some of you more experienced types can help me with.

One of my favorites is the Belgian Cocoa by Halo. I found the clone recipe here and put it together. I didn't want to wait weeks to let it steep. I tried something I haven't seen on YouTube or read about in the forums. I put my concoction in a bottle and nuked it for about 6 seconds. After letting it cool, it seemed to be pretty good.

Is this a good or bad thing to do since most talk about placing their juices in hot or boiling hot water to do the same thing?

To avoid wasting PG/VG by making 5 or 10ml as a test batch, has anyone tried or heard of mixing only the flavors and doing a taste test before adding the nic and PG/VG percentages? Good or bad thing?

Is there a site out there where I can just enter in a name of a flavoring, say graham cracker, and get an idea of what recipes there are that use that flavor or any flavor to see if I may have the makings of a decent vape recipe with the multitude of flavors I may have on hand?

I know it is a lot to ask, but I would sure like to know what the experts think.
