I thought it was pretty cool when we convinced the first friend to order V4L with us. It was more exciting when SIX more people we knew started vaping on our recommendation. Downright impressive when our converts started converting THEIR friends and coworkers. But today takes the cake.
I sold V4L to the girl who works at the store next door to mine.
The tobacco shop.
I sold vaping to the tobacco shop girl.
Yeah, I am so loving this. Thank you V4L for making life really really awesome!
I'm not *your* tobacco shop girl, but that's what I sell too! Actually we only sell premium cigars and briar pipes/pipe tobacco, no cigarettes! The whole store is a humidor.
I'm sure you guys probablely don't really understand, but cigarettes are actually quite abhorred by most of the people who really work in the cigar industry. I know your thinking tobacco is tobacco but that really isn't the case.
Also, please do not even remotely confuse us with BT like Philip Morris (Kraft), or RJ Reynolds. Though we use larger corps (Altadis, General Cigar, and Cigars by Santa Clara, etc.) for distributing and advertising purposes, the cigar industry is still mostly an old-time family business with blenders, rollers, and growers.
In case anyone is wondering: I needed to get off the cigarettes. I still enjoy a good cigar or bowl of pipe tobacco once/week, but them cigarettes were an entirely different hook. Cigars and pipe tobacco never did the things to me that cigarettes did.
On top of all of this, I don't see it as really being that out there. With all the smoking bans that are just about to be enforced and are already I feel that the tobacco industry needs to evolve to survive. I don't see PVs as direct competition but an evolution. The main source of nicotine is still derived from tobacco so it will still need to be grown.
