Well.....I did it. I emptied all of my penny jars, stole the kids allowance, sold one of the kids and a kidney and bought the wifey and I both Provari's!!!!! Can I say WHEEEEEEE!!!!! NOW I am in search of some cartos to place on top of this lovely beast. It comes with a Protank which is swell cause I wanted to try them out. I hope to get them sometime this week. Again.....WOOT! Pretty nice swap from a V2 stick to a Provari huh?!? I can't wait. Thanks to everyone for your awesome advice and input.

I know I have asked this numerous times but if anyone has suggestions for Cartos, I welcome them. (I am looking for glass or is it the polyproylene?...something that won't crack with 'those' juices...)

What color combo did you get?

The wife went with the purple and I got black.
Regarding carto tanks, just go Pyrex and you won't have to worry!
Can you recommend a vendor? I know Kanger's protank is pyrex. Also I think I saw some from Smoktech. Not sure...I'll have to check

Cartomizers are metal, if you're going to use them inside a tank they need to be punched ( pre punched, laser drilled, slotted or punch them yourself). 1 ~ 3 holes depending on juice & wicking material.
I prefer Ikenvape cartos, then boge, most times I use SR occasionally LR for complex tobacco juices.

Glass is always a safe bet for tanks when using juices that have a tendency to deteriorate plastics.

Grats on the incoming Provari's. You and the wifey are in for a big treat. :toast:

Some terminology alerts are in order. You said "cartos" but from your phrasing you meant to say "pyrex cartotanks". Review this blog article - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...k-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

Nearly all of the information that you will need can be found in my blogs: E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

You will find a review of the IBTanked pyrex cartotanks which I recommend. An article on what delivery device attachments are safe to use with "those" juices. The step-by-step method of how I setup my cartotanks. A large list of online vendors that sell pre-punched cartomizers ready to be primed for a cartotank.

Your choice of cartomizer to use in your tanks will fall between three brands: Smoktech, Boge, and Ikenvape. If you are lucky to land some Ikenvape, get those. They are only available from one vendor, and his supply is limited due to restrictions of the manufacturer. Being able to get some Ikenvape cartos can be a pain, but they are worth it IMO.

Smoktech and Boge differ mostly in the density of the polyfill fiber used in the cartomizer. Boge's is very compact, making them slower to fill. Smoktech's is less dense making them easier to fill, but for some people they may be more likely to flood. Personal preference is key here, so I suggest trying a few of each brand to see which works best for your individual vaping style.

What resistance or ohm rating to choose for your cartomizers is also pretty much personal preference. Low resistance (lower ohms) will provide a warmer vape (possibly appearing harsh to some). Standard is a good middle ground to choose. I prefer high resistance (2.5 - 3.0 ohm) cartos for the Provari; I prefer a cooler vape, and this resistance will allow you to use any voltage from the Provari between 3.4 - 5.0 volts easily.

Thanks. I will check out your blog. As far as the terminology...I'm still an infant here. LOL. Seriously, thanks though. I'm learning.

I looked for Ikenvape but I get a page that says website is down. I'll keep trying.

I think that I am a bit intimidated as I am still a newby and feel that if I get a tank, then I also have to get the carts and I'm not sure, or I want to be sure that I get the right size/length to fit into the tank.
The only way to learn is to jump right in and do it. All the information you will need to choose the size tank and the right cartomizer for it (or visa versa) is all in my blog review of the IBTanked. It includes this graphic that helps you make an intelligent choice of a cartomizer and tank combination:

tank lengths.jpg

The Ikenvape website has been down for about a week while they do website upgrades. Typically cartomizers are only available for purchase once or twice a month when the vendor gets them in stock. Get on the email notify list when the website gets back up. Once some get in stock, the supply usually lasts only 24 - 48 hours. In the meantime, get either Smoktech or Boge from another vendor (like IBTanked).

If you purchase a complete tank kit from IBTanked, you will get the proper size cartomizer along with the tank you order, along with extra o-rings and a drip tip which doubles as a tank assembly tool. Extra cartomizers and drip tips are available on the website, too.
