When I used 1.5 dual coil cartos, I run them in ~4.5 Volts..give or take with the flavor and my mood. I typically just stick with single 3 ohm cartomizers at about 5 Volts. I typically stay at 9 Watts when I vape with most flavors with single coils..which is about 5.2 Volts with a 3 Ohm single coil cartomizer.

Since you like 1.5 dual coils, I think 3 ohm single coils would be worth a try. A 1.5 dual coil is just two 3 ohm coils in parallel.

I say adjust by taste. You can go a bit higher than 4.0 since you have two coils but only do that if it tastes good. Higher voltage will result in greater throat hit and a warmer vape. If you're not a fan of warm vapes, being the voltage down. As long as you're not burning the carto or doing something unsafe, then simply adjust it until you find a spot you like.

Exactly right. Dual coils are configured in parallel--your 1.5Ω DC carto consists of two 3.0Ω coils. I like single coil cartomizers, Boge, Smoktech or IKV, between 2.2-3Ω on my ProVari, tanked or not tanked. Generally, most people find their sweet spot somewhere between 5.5-6.5 watts. Thank you for the info. According to ohm's law, I think I can vape a 2.5 dual coil at about 5.7 volts. I think the provari can go as high as 14 watts. Can this be done? I would like to vape at 6 volts. A 2ohm at 6 volts would be a wattage of 18 which the provari cannot do.

Am I correct on this? Thank you for any info on this.

I don't think I understand your question. A 2.5Ω DC cartomizer consists of two 5Ω coils. You do your math based on that latter number. I wouldn't use a 2.5Ω DC on a ProVari; if you put a 5Ω coil on 6 volts you'll only get 5.5 watts of power. Not worth it.

I might be wrong, but based on what you are saying a dual-coil at 1.5 ohms would be 3ohms. If you put that on a provari at 6 volts, you would get an error message. Is this right? I don't know because I have not received the provari yet, but I tried it on a vamo and the carto fried at 6 volts using a 1.5 dual coil.

Thanks for the info.

I am planning on buying a Provari here soon. Does anyone have any experience with what is better to run (Carto tanks VS RDAs)? I know its all preference as it really has little to do with the Provari. I am just curious as how some of the RDAs will work with the Provari as most of the pictures ive seen has been with carto tanks. I did buy a carto tank from IBTanked today to try out before I get the provari but I am just curious.

I dont think it matters ...both will work very well.

Your gonna love your IBTanks. I also enjoy my carto's with single coil, 2.5 to 3.2 ohms, dual lazer punched. On my Provari I like them at 3.6 to 4.0 Volts.......but I only Vape nice clear liquids, mostly fruits and such. Makes a difference.
