A properly glowing coil.. both the first and last would be dark... that first loop is close to having hot leg.

I wouldn't worry though as we don't vape that hot. And coil will even out naturally with use.

A little more strumming on the building of the coil can usually get all that stuff out. You're looking for heating in the center moving evenly our towards both legs. Granted I use SS for my builds, but it's rarely necessary to get the coil that bright. Otherwise if it's giving you a good vape, all is OK.

it's still going strong at 90W but, as always, thanks for the info and advice. going to wind quite a few more this week in preparation for some new arrivals.
