Do I need a multimeter or is there something that just measures volts?

I bought myself a small mechanical as a reward to myself for doing my taxes on time and having a little left over. What I forgot about is that it takes 14500 batteries and right now I have no way to see how much juice is left in them. Derp. It's not like I can stick them in the Vamo and check soooo I went and researched multimeters.

They look big and really multifunction (I know, I know. Probably why it's named a multimeter. lol), but I'm not going to use it to it's potential. Is there a thing that just measures volts that is more compact? I got the little mod to take travelling and carting along a ginormous multimeter is not really what I had in mind.

A fully charged li-ion or IMR battery will come off the charger right around 4.2 volts. You'll get good vapor for quite a while until the voltage drops down a bit. By the time voltage gets to around 3.5 volts you'll notice a big drop off in vapor production. I just change batteries when I'm not getting as much vapor and throat hit as I want.

I use one of these for my mechanical mods. They read voltage and ohms. Cheaper than a multimeter, too.

Just connect it to your battery device at the connector and fire for a voltage reading. Connect a juice delivery device to the other end to get its ohm reading.

Thanks I was looking for something like this too. I have been asked to give feedback on a device from my first gaping company and I wanted to give a good rundown. Plus if I get a Provari I want to test it myself to see if its worth the hype lol.

Technically you CAN check the volts left on a battery and the ohm using a VAMO. If you click and hold down the left button it shows battery volts left and click and hold the right button down to get ohm resistance.

I've got one of these fron madvapes. It shows voltage and voltage under load..not the ohms
