Here and back
I don't want to quit either and I haven't quit, I just haven't had one in a month ;-)

Now that's funny. I was at a party Saturday night and there was some discussion re: my e cig. I was careful to NOT say I had quit the bad, bad, just replaced it with the e cig. I like the idea, I haven't quit, just managed to not smoke a cig for almost 6 months.

crystallee, I didn't want to quit smoking, I just didn't want to die...I couldn't breathe, I was stopping breathing in the middle of the night, couldn't sleep...couldn't run...nothing. I was 23 and felt like I was gonna die! I now can run for miles on end and no longer stop breathing in my sleep. I have taken 50 pounds off and look fantastic. I know weight was some of my issue...but it's hard to lose weight when you can't move because you can't breathe. But enough with excuses. I quit vaping shortly after quitting smoking...but then picked up it again one day and never put it back down. I love that i can vape what I no longer let myself eat! Anyways, welcome to the family! BTW, what direction of nebraska you in? Don't see too many nebraska vapers! :)

I have to think of it like that too! I panic at the thought of having to quit smoking and yet haven't had a cigarette in months!

A family friend of mine hasn't had a cigarette in 15 years yet still considers herself to be a smoker. She laughs and says she will never quit, she is just prolonging that next smoke. Indefinitely.

I didn't PLAN to quit at ALL - but it happened anyway despite my best intentions :)
I did enjoy smoking - I just didnt enjoy cigarettes - or at least I enjoyed only about 2 or 3 of them.
I just prefer vaping and I love the 510 as well, mines from cignot though. I've got a 5v PT from madvapes as well that I just ADORE - 5v vaping seems to be a really sweet spot.

I don't want to quit either. I LOVE the idea of "I haven't quit, I just haven't smoked a cigarette since xx/xx/20xx." I just started vaping a few days ago and can't say that it's been all that long since my last cigarette--I just finished one, in fact--but it was rolled with a skinny filter, about an inch shorter than the 70mm roller. But I'm already smoking probably about 1/4 what I was before.

I don't WANT to quit. I LIKE smoking. It's been my friend for nearly 40 years, for goodness' sake! But my "friend" has gotten me susceptible to bronchitis, and I have a cough that I really don't like ... and my husband is in the same boat ... so thank God for PV's!!!! One of these days, I'll be able to say that it's been a week since my last smoke. It's a start!

I wanted to quit so bad I would have cut off my own arm to do so. I hated, hated, hated it. But worse, I hated myself.

This was me, too. I had tried sooo many times to quit, and not one thing ever worked. Then, a nurse at my dr's office told me about ecigs, I googled ecigarettes, and found this forum. The rest is history...:vapor:

Sums it up perfectly for me. Although I just got my Ego today, I only had 5 analogs, whereas I would have had 30+, so it`s a good start.

I really needed to quit. I was smoking 2 1/2 packs of ultra lights a day. But I LOVED smoking. It had been such a part of my life for so long. But I was embarrassed by the smell and the mess. I actually had an employee gag from the smell when he got in my truck one winter. And the cough - wow, so humiliating. My non-smoker friends would be shocked when I had a fit. Laughing hard would make me cough worse.

But now? Nothing but the sweet smell of menthol. The .... stinking smell of an ashtray is almost gone from my truck - well, it’s getting better. I don’t have to run outside to smoke although I don’t often vape in public places and if I do, I am very, very discreet.

I always wanted to quit tobacco without quitting smoking.

This is it! The comfort of smoking without the deadly smoke.

Ed.

I picked up a cheap (and ultimately inferior) cartridge-based ecig, mostly to see what the whole E-Cig thing was about. I loved it, and took it to my weekly game night. This was when people (around here, at least) could not fathom that I wasn't smoking. They thought the idea was great, and within a couple weeks, all but one of us owned electronic cigarettes.

It was never about quitting for me, but I did by accident. I'm almost four months free of analogs. Yay!
