The thai mango is in the absolute line (no alcohol) so I don't know that cap off steeping would do anything (correct me if I'm wrong). It just doesn't seem to match what everyone else says about it. I don't get any fruitiness at all.. just pine sol. I've loved another lesser brand's mango juice so I expected to be head over heels for this. :(

RedHen, I think it's just a peculiarity of your tastes as I've had a couple other customers respond the same way. I taste a strong mango with a bit of tang and I absolutely love this flavor but I know flavors can come across very differently to different people. Since I've heard this a couple times before from other customers I suspect that it's just a flavor that doesn't agree with your palette and probably steeping won't change that. I'm sorry you don't like it! I'm sure we'd be happy to send you a free sample of another flavor with your next order to try to help you find something that will agree with you (just leave a note to remind me)!

Yes, you're right of course - forgot it had no acohol. A long-term steep could change it, but as Annette said it could easily just be a pallette issue. Sometimes certain flavors are "misinterpeted" for whatever reason and so you end up with something that isnt translated properly...if that makes sense. It is actually pretty common phenomenon. There are a certain kind of homemade cheesecake sold in my town that my friends love but whenever I try it I swear it tastes like I am eating soap. Yes, actual soap! It's weird. And I have plenty of soap at home if I ever feel like tasting it again for free.

A few of the reviews on the website say it has a basil finish, and I've read other reviews that said they taste no basil at all... I wonder if there is actually any basil in it at all or if the people who taste basil just have the oddness of palate that I have.

I did TASTE the juice on my tongue and it tasted very sweet and I did get some mango... but the mango flavor and sweetness is non-existant when I vape it. So very weird.

Hmmmmm.... I wonder if Annette can play around with the flavor a little to make it somehow more pure sweet Mango or something..... cuz I really want to try it as well! I think it would be great with a hint of sweet Vanilla!

I'm really hoping that my palate doesn't change too much. Although I've been smoking the roll-your-own loose tobacco store kind rather than name brands for close to a yr before I switched to vaping. Maybe that'll help... Here's to hoping!!

When I first switched to the "analog-looking" e-cigs, I only smoked the Mango and Vanilla Tobacco and the flavors were sooo good, but I quickly learned I was one of the few who was allergic to PG. Luckily for me, that lead me to Virgin Vapor and I'm not looking back.... or to any other supplier! So happy, they have the absolute BEST customer service and such creative flavorful juices!!!

The Fresh Thai Mango doesn't have any basil in it but people who taste a "basil finish" probably have similar taste buds to you, RedHen.

SunshyneGurl, I was playing around the other day trying to make a Mango Pudding with some vanilla and sweet cream and it was tasting pretty good! I'll get back to work on it once I get the tobacco flavors ready as I think a sweeter, creamier version might have some fans!

Aha! I was really wondering if there was or was not any basil. If I get any mango-ness at all from this juice it is more like mango skin or that weirdness you get when you bite the pit. So odd. I'm not giving up on it yet, I'll try it again later. You never know.

Annette- is it safe to assume that the Mango Mint Julep would probably not be my cup of tea?

Ohhhh.... that sounds amazing! I think I'd really like that one! You'll have to accidentally mail me a sample of it or sneak some into my next order! Yum!

You really are working on new flavors... I'm really excited to try your new concoctions! This is soooo much better than smoking analogs... can't believe I didn't find this world sooner!!

What did you say was good mixed with the Hawaiian Guava? I think you said it had almost a bubble gum flavor to it.

It was Hunger of Persephone.

Thanks RedHen!!! I'm assuming you've tried that combination? I can't wait to try it, so happy that I have a sample of that one! It's taking awhile for my Hunger of Persephone to bloom, hope it's ready soon. Been about 2wks and it's still almost clear, although it smells really good.

Yes, it was the Hunger of Persephone! Yum! Fruity bubble gum!

SunshyneGurl, the Absolute flavors don't change color all that much even with prolonged steeping. I think it's because both the usage is so small as they are highly concentrated and also because they are such high quality and so completely pure. So you may have to do a taste taste to see when it's ready!

RedHen, I LOVE the Mango Mint Julep but it may have the same issue for you as it has a strong mango component. The mint really balances it out though so you never know!

Thanks Annette.... I was wondering why it was taking so long after almost a mth for a few of them! I keep checking in on them every few days and smelling... but I've learned that the scent can sometimes be way different than the taste! Thazt can be a very good thing!!!

Looks like I'm gonna have one of those college reliving days where ya sit at the table with a bunch of bottles and taste test, have a lotta laughs and a lotta fun! Sounds like a good time to me.... time to break out the numerous sample bottles I've accumulated and add more new "Fav" flavors to my arsenal of VV juice!!! Yaayyyy.... party! Yet, not nearly as fun as Annette is having making up new flavors (hope the Mango Pudding makes it on the Menu)...
