Alright, I'lI do that. I have a vape shop right down the street. I just hope they don't cost too much!
This online company is having a sale for easter. No coupon code needed.

You can get a nitecore or xtar charger for very reasonable prices.

What are the batteries you are using in your mod now. Look and see what is written on the outside of the battery and tell us what it says and who makes it.

Yeah, in total agreement with uthinkofsomething

He listed the types of batteries that ECF's battery expert has recommended in an earlier post. Any one of those he listed will work well in your mod and last a lot longer. Please do not rebuy the same kind you have now or you will be charging them constantly.

Looks as tho we may have found the problem but I would still have the vape shop look at the mod and see if they can test it to see if it works with another set of batteries.

:)

A good rule of thumb is if they make TV's they make good batteries. You can buy the best batteries made for example 30q, Sony vtc5a or vtc6 for about 6 bucks each online. Just for reference against the shop prices.

I've never turned my mods off before removing batteries either. But I'd go to the shop. If nothing else there a good chance there's a fellow vaper there just hanging out. If it was me there after you told me the story I'd let you try your batteries in my mod and see if my batteries worked in yours so you would know what needed replacing.

Edit: haha, fixed it while I was typing. Great. There is nothing worse than mod or computer hassles.

Conflict Green Top 40A 3500mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...just another rewrapped 10A battery
10 amp is not so great depending on how you use it... Look into two new sets of good batteries, seriously.
^^^ This. :thumb:

A battery that is tested to be only 10 amps is hardly adequate for any vaping device. Conflict, as our battery expert (Mooch) says, is a "rewrap" company. Get some decent batteries made by Samsung, Lg, or Sony that are a true 15 -25 amps. And get a dedicated charger made by Xtar, Efest LUC, or Nitecore.

Are You Using a Rewrap (Rebranded or Aftermarket) Battery?

  • Learn what a rewrap cell is. If you are using a rebranded or after market cell, does that mean it is inferior, poor quality, or even dangerous? Which batteries are suspected to be rebranded batteries.

Okay, yes I'm new to Vaping, I was stupid, my husband got me a T-PRIV Smok brand, I wanted to see what type of batteries it took since charging it is taking SO long, and without turning the dang thing off I popped the battery's out and looked at them, well guess what now people? It won't turn back on. I've tried the 5 Clicks in 2 Seconds and that won't work. My husband had it before me so I DON'T KNOW if he changed how to turn it off or on. So I'm SO lost, can ANYONE help me out? Thanks guys!!

Don't Feel stupid Rebecca.

You didn't do Anything that just about All of Us haven't done. The Mod shouldn't have failed to turn back on.

I think sometimes the Vaping Gods get bored. And decide to Prank people by doing stuff like what you went thru. Or maybe they are just Testing you Vaping Resolve? I dunno?

But All's Well that End's Well.

BTW - Welcome to the ECF.

Glad you got it sorted out, I was worried you fried your mod by pulling the batteries while USB charging. Don't ever do that and seriously don't charge a smok mod via USB. Smok has had some issues with battery explosions and charging (thinking mostly of the smok stick though) and QC, so it could have been tons of things.

Don't charge internal batteries via USB. As you can see from your "percentage battery reading" the mod often won't charge the batteries evenly which is bad. Also, it stresses the batteries, the mod, and the charger, as well as the USB port.

You also need genuine authentic batteries, but that has been covered.

And, don't feel dumb either. There is no vaper, on the planet at this time, who hasn't made an error while vaping, often early on as we learn about vaping.

Best of luck and welcome :)

Thanks dear!! And my husband is ordering a charger and extra batteries online so we can make sure that it doesn't happen again. I turned it off and it is charging! I'm going to sleep for a few hours now. Thanks again and have a good day.
Welcome and glad you joined.
I have provided a little more information which might help choosing/evaluating batteries.
