I have been an avid smoker since I was 16 years old this September I will turn 26 and I am trying to kick a 10 year old habit and it's not easy. I recently started re searching vaping and it just so happened to be a few people who I work with at HD were already using them and I was intrigued one guy actually let me try his and it was very satisfying. This past Friday I went into my local vape shop for the first time and I bought a eVic supreme with an aerotank mega with a bottle of juice. I since then purchased a nautilus mini for when I get tired of the same juice in my mega. I am still roughly smoking 3-4 cigarettes a day since starting to vape. I started with 18mg with nicotine on the first bottle of juice and I feel good when vaping and don't really have cravings until like after I eat something I really crave a traditional cigarette. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to try some cinnamon flavors but heard they gunk coils and I don't need anymore added expenses at this point. I've been vaping 18mg of space jam "astro" however my favorite is called pitbull "puppy drool" it's the most in your face intense kiwi strawberry flavor I've ever tried.

Welcome to ECF, if your looking to kick the habit of smoking you'll have to be strong through the cravings. Cravings come and go for months, sometimes it's just an odd nudge, other times it's a kick in your face. Most suggest just vape through them, others will suggest in those time when the urge is strongest vape a higher nicotine level to feed that craving.

Being a dual user is fine, I certainly will not put you down for it, few others here will either.

Cinnamon flavors like all very sweet flavors can gunk up a coil, I believe the coils on your devices can be rebuilt with a very small investment in wire and organic cotton balls. google or youtube will be your friend as well as the fine folks here on ECF.

The cravings remained for me too but after two weeks or so I just decided not to buy new cigarettes anymore.
To my surprise I managed to do without. Pretty rough the first days but it got easier over the days thereafter.
It took the three months or so for me to find out that although I still wanted to smoke a ciggie, it tasted horrible when I tried one.
I was stuck at work with a non functional ecig and took 3 hits of a regular cig and had to put it out cause it was too gross to finish.
Oddly enough when I haven't vaped a while , in my mind I still think "I need a cigarette" even after two yrs.
I never think "I need a vape" although that's the only thing I've been doing. Guess 20yr of smoking leaves its traces.
Good luck to kicking the stinkies.

Thanks man I appreciate the help. I have looked into a few videos that show how to rebuild and hopefully it's something I can try in the future. I think I will take your suggestion and put a higher 24mg dosage in my mini for the craving moments. I have been enjoying vaping. The only other downfall is the unit I purchased is somewhat cumbersome for traveling around town and work environments however it's not terrible it fits in my pocket. Any recommendations for something more slender that has all day battery life. I can get close to 2 1/2 days of usage out of my evic supreme before re charging. Thanks for the support fellow vapers!

Size and battery life are a trade off I'm afraid.
You could look into the ego-v v4 1300 mah batteries for example.
That might carry you through the day and will also allow you the flexibility of having a vv/vw device that
might proof useful in your rebuilding adventures.
Rebuilding is not that hard, just fiddly. Most people get a hang of it after a couple of tries.

Steeping is putting an eliquid aside for a couple of days/weeks to improve its flavor.

Steep? Can you elaborate

Steeping pretty much means to let the flavors combine and "age". When an E-juice is first made, sometimes the true flavor doesn't come out for a while. Mt. Baker Vapor is known for making their juices fresh when ordered. That can be good, since you know it hasn't been sitting on the shelf for about a year, but the bad thing is, you might have to let it air or steep. For some of their juices, I take the cap and nipple off and let it "air out" for a day. Sometimes it needs to steep for a week or two... which means simply put it in the closet and forget about it for a few weeks. Occasionally shake the bottle so it doesn't settle.

And yes, I've heard rave reviews about their Cinnamon Roll. Bad thing is, my wife hates cinnamon.

[added]

Forgot to mention, steeping is done with the cap and nipple ON.

All day battery life is something of a question that depends on how much you use the device and the coil you have in the atomizer. Your rig is about as good as it gets for slim all day vaping, a provari mini would be a good bit shorter than what you have now, but I'm not certain it would last all day on a single battery. The diameter however is not going to be much if any smaller.

Steeping is pretty much letting the juice sit for a certain duration, shaken periodically tends to help. There are a bunch of ways people like to hasten the process, but time usually does just as well. In some cases steeping with the cap off helps, but this really depends on the flavorings used, it never hurts to try. (cap off usually for one day, the rest of the steep with cap on)

I have put the smokes away. I don't buy any and I have got rid of everything smoke related even the lighter from my pocket. I found that when i did get a pang for a smoke I'd hit my vape hard and after a couple minutes... craving gone. I started on 24mg I found that enough to make me sick if i wanted. I pretty much stayed at my max nic intake for the first few months. At the point that if i was to have a smoke id probably puke. I am amazed and so grateful at the invention. I have quit smoking easier than i ever thought possible and don't crave cigarettes ever anymore.

Hit your vape, forget the smokes.

Wow you guys/gals are very helpful I appreciate the support I guess my next e liquid purchase will be a 24mg dosage for those moments that I crave. I kicked a pretty bad drug habit a few years back so with the proper tools in place I should be able to conquer this as well. Thanks again for the ongoing support you guys are great! I am certainly going to check out mt. baker vapor as I have heard there name frequently. I don't know though if I am looking for a cinnamon roll flavor more along the lines of what a shot of fireball would taste like sounds great to me.

Also does anyone know if the bvc coils are re buildable? I searched on youtube but found nothing I am assuming because they are relatively new coils? I have ran approx. 8mls of juice on stock coils through my mini so far with no problems.

Also I will check into provari are they a good brand? Is it true they are made in the USA?

Provari is a top brand with a very loyal customers base.. I think they are $200+ devices.
What is wrong with your current mod? Is it to tall? Would something shorter and wider fit you better? I didn't like box mods at first, but I find them to be much more portable the the lightsaber that is my tube mod.
Good luck, you'll be there before you know it!
Don't down play your success either! Cutting way back is an accomplishment!

Great start!

Mt. Baker Vapor
  • 10% discount code: vaporfrombaker
  • Free 15ml bottle with $15 order.
Specify flavor, nicotine level and pg/vg ratio in order comments

Cinnamon - I believe this is one of those flavors that are known to not work well with anything but glass lined tanks.

Battery - check out the Innokin MVP 2. Outstanding features, including variable volt & wattage, plus 2600 mah for long long usage between charges.

Celebrate every cigarette avoided!

Use both for as long as it takes for you to find that just-right combination of nicotine, flavors and hardware that will empower you to leave cigarettes behind.

The two Cinnamon Red Hots juices I make are as follows;

(Sister Wife) v2.2 by Maurice

5.6 % Cinnamon Red Hot (PG) TFA
1.7 % Vanilla Bean Ice Cream TFA
0.8 % Brown Sugar Extra TFA
0.5 % EM 10% PG TFA
0.5 % Vanilla Swirl TFA

(Opus R.) v4.0 by Maurice

5.0 % Cinnamon Red Hot (PG) TFA
2.3 % Vanilla Bean Ice Cream TFA
2.0 % Vanilla Swirl TFA
0.7 % Brown Sugar Extra TFA
0.5 % EM 10% PG TFA
0.5 % Pie Crust Flavor TFA

I prefer Opus R. while a good friend of mine swears Sister Wife is way better than others she had tried.

Firstly congrats!! it's ok don't beat yourself up about a few ciggies. We did about three a day for five or six days then one a day for three, since May 30, just this weekend the cravings for a ciggie have gotten to where it's just once a day or so and I grab the vape, or Ed's since he vapes a higher mg than I do ..take two or three hits and buzzz..ah nicotine thank you Jesus, craving gone.

I like fruity or custardy/desserty ones so my juice faves probably won't be yours.

and of course
